my take on it is that the arab world hates the jews so much because of what happened back in biblical times and thier inheritance was stolen by trickery.. then after centuries of hating the jews and not being able to do anything about it (because the jews cultivated friends around the world) their only option was to resort to terroristic tactics thus suicide bombers..do you agree or what is your take on this

Interesting question as Islam forbids suicide just like Christianity. That is why the bombers call their mission martyrdom missions. Anyone calling it a suicide bombing, or suicide murder as proposed by others, is considered to be slandering the jihadist cause.

So how does that work?

Suicide bombers have come under great scrutiny lately and the theories of French sociologist Emile Durkheim have helped to understand this phenomenon. In his work "Suicide" he divided suicides into four subcategories: Egoistic, Anomic, Altruistic and Fatalist.

Altruistic suicide is when an individual sacrifices themselves for a larger cause. This person is so strongly integrated into a group that they lose sight of individuality. Fatalist suicide is when the individual sees no chance of improvement in a chronically hopeless life. The only escape from suffering is death and the afterlife promised by others.

From "Altruism and Fatalism: The Characteristics of Palestinian Suicide Terrorists", Jul-Aug 2003 issue of Deviant Behaviour.

"Our research indicates that the terrorist's perspective is largely constructed on two dimensions," they wrote. "One is the collective dimension - the individual feels his suicide will help serve in attaining the goals of the society or group to which he belongs. The second is a more individualist dimension and sees the suicidal act as as an escape route from a situation of no hope."

In addition "acute altruistic suicide perceive a lofty and glosious place for themselves in the spiritual and mystical realm beyond life on earth."

"There is an element of egoistic suicide, at least among Islamic holy warriors, they believe there is a payoff, that they will be immortalized by the group in posters put up of them, there is a material payoff in the form of monetary compensation to their family. They are getting revolutionary immortality."

The following is graphic, but does illustrate the issue perfectly. In the following video the terrorist seems jubilant about the attack he is about to perform. The target is obviously a civilian target from the video.

hatred of the Jews doesn't go back to biblical times. The Arabs were too busy hating each other. When the Arabs captured Jerusalem in the 8th century it started for real. The current fight between the Jews and Muslims is about land. The UN gave back most of Palestine to the Jews in 1947 and the feud began in Ernest. The Jews made it clear to the Arabs that they could live in harmony and peace. In fact, they would share many businesses and other financial opportunities. The Arabs refused because they are basically not business people and only settled for hatred of the Jews. If the Arabs had agreed to live in peace they would be far more advanced than they are today and enjoying a good life. Arabs have been fighting each other and others for centuries. It is their way of life. There is no hope for them. If not for world opinion there wouldn't be an Arab remaining in Palestine at this time. By the way, what trickery was used to take back Jewish land? It was done by the UN the magnificent providers of peace and fairness on earth.

I disagree. When your family home for centuries is taken from you and you have no future then suicide becomes an option. This is particularly true when your religious leaders tell you it is a ticket to heaven.
If you are going to kill yourself, why not kill as many of the people responsible for your plight as possible.

Check your history, before the Zionists moved into Palestine there were centuries of peace between the Arabs and Jews. The Jews only had control over land in the Mideast for a relatively short time. During the time of David and Soloman.

The answer to this question comes down to the fundamental differences between the common american and the common middle easterner.

It is best viewed by looking at life, like it is a commodity, and then economically speaking.

The life of an american is more valuable than the life of a middle easterner. The value of giving up one's life for their religion is universally constant. However, the value of the life of an american is greater than the value of giving up one's life for their religion (hence no suicide bombers). The value of the life of a middle easterner is LESS than the value of giving up one's life for their religion. So they are willing to do it.

In essence, they are willing to commit suicide because they don't value their own life, because it stinks because they are miserable all the time. Lets face it, they live under repressive regimes in a miserable desert.

These poor souls are manipulated. How many old Muslim men blow themselves up? I read something interesting about the mind set of these young men, look at the avg. age, and why they do it. First, there's the money for the family and most of these bombers are very poor. Second, in their culture they aren't even allowed to look at women much less date. Third, they are taught from birth to hate Christians and Jews.

Now put that all together and then you are promised money, virgins and immortality. It looks like a win-win situation to them.

Biblical times? Modern Israel was created in 1948. Read a book! It has absolutely nothing in common with the ancient Israel except a stolen name for an unlawful State on stolen land.

Why would someone blow themself up?
Desperation. Decades of victimization and having their plight ignored by the entire world. Seeing their towns and families destroyed with arrogance and impunity and having no weapons to fight back with. Finally not caring if one lives or dies and deciding that sacrificing oneself for one's people is the just thing to do.

But it's easier on the conscience if we just call them religious fanantics.

To even try to comprehend this you must know the meaning of the word Jihad. This dates back century's. Anyway, I am not a terrorist sympathysizer, however people need to understand that people can not reason with these people. Theres know calling a peace summit and expecting them to attend. This belief is ingrained in their very being. We have no choice but to fight terrorism, or fall victim to it.

We as Americans are so quick to judge others when we don't understand something its wrong or crazy when in reality its just a difference of culture. It all boils down to religion in their religion I'm not sure exactly which religion it is but they believe that its okay to commit suicide in fact those who blow them selves up are looked upon as heroes in their country. Now to us this seems crazy and wrong but to them it means eternal life in their after life according to their religious beliefs. Now if you live your life in the way that you believe GOD wants you to are you wrong? That's exactly what these people are doing they are doing what they believe their GOD whom ever that may be wants them to do and their society looks upon them as heroes it's not wrong we just can't understand or relate to it...................I personally will never understand it.

Truly, it is amazing all the misconception about history, current situations and Islam.

Arabs / Muslims do not hate Jews or Christians as some have mentioned. There are Jews & Christians currently living in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and believe it Iran, etc. Why haven’t the Arabs / Muslims in these countries attacked the Jews / Christians there? These countries have synagogues and churches and they practice their religion freely.

Why is the most suicide bombing in Palestine and recently in Iraq?

Let’s go a long time back when the Israelis were expelled from 109 locations and the British mandate and Balfour declaration gave Israel a part of the Palestine land that was occupied by the British forces then.
http://www.action-for-un-renewal.org.uk/...
http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/expelle...

The Israeli Zionists had their own agenda to attain their "promised land" - the land between the Al Forat & the Nile Rivers. For Israel Zionists, that part of Palestine was not enough, so they began to wage war and occupy their neighboring countries; Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and more parts of Palestine.

In 1967 the UN passed resolution 242 calling for Israel to withdraw form the occupied Arab territories they have invaded & occupied during these wars. Israel has yet to comply.

During this time, Israel has been conducting ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians and is continuing to do so to this day as it is now doing to Lebanon as well. Have you heard of the Israeli Sabra & Shatila massacre in Lebanon or the Deir Yassin massacre in Palestine? Please read on:

Next, compare all the sophisticated weapons provided to Israel by the US and the weapons that the Palestinians have – or actually don’t have.

What do these people have to fight with? They began by throwing stones when their houses were raided, bombed and their family members killed, imprisoned, maimed, raped, their bones broken, their orchids destroyed and the list goes one.

With no sophisticated weapons, they only had their bodies to use as weapons. Can you imagine that! Can you imagine that you will strap some explosives to your body knowing how they will tear your body apart?

These people are using the only means to fight against Zionist terrorism that occupies their lands.

Moving on to Iraq, which was also occupied, many of its citizens thrown in jail without a trail or any mercy, its men and women murdered and raped, their homes raided and bombed without even the consent of the UN and despite that international protests. They are in the situation as the Palestinians, they have no weapons with which to fight back.

Why is there such a fuss about suicide bombing by Arabs, when there is banned weapons bombing and genocide by Israel? In Lebanon, why were there no suicide bombers? Simply, because Hezbollah had weapons (though not equal) to fight back Israel.

What would you do if your land was taken, you were discriminated against on your own land, you saw members of your family jailed, tortured, murdered in cold blood, maimed, “disappeared” , beaten , raped, your house and orchids bulldozed all before your own eyes and you cannot even go to “the other side” to see your work, school, see family because the occupiers will not let you?
Read this article, it is so sickening:
http://www.uruknet.info/?p=m26396&hd=0&size=1&l=e

What would you really do? After 911, the US waged war against 2 countries when it was after 2 people, killing thousands. In all fairness, don’t the Palestinians and Iraqi’s have the same right?

The important thing it how to stop all madness. This will end once the invaders and occupiers stop their genocide and leave the occupied lands to their rightful owners.

I cannot understand this fixation on suicide bombings, while Israel has been conducting false flag operations against the US harming and murdering US citizens trying to set up Arab countries in the process so that the US may start wars with these countries – USS Liberty bombing , the Lavon affair, King David Hotel bombing and others:

Why hasn’t there been this kind of fuss over the cold blooded murder of Rachel Corrie, the US peace activist who was run over by an Israeli bulldozer?

Unfortunately, there are very many unauthenticated websites about Islam that provide gross misinterpretations of the Koran and Hadith.

Islam does not initiate any aggression, it is very tolerant and accepts all other religions and their prophets holding them in very high esteem, allowing freedom of religion.

Islam recognizes the rights of the minority. When the Jews were persecuted in Europe and fled to Islamic Spain, they were welcomed by the Muslims fled In Islamic Spain, and the Jews consider that part of their history as the “Golden Era”

Christians live in affluence. They hold government positions establish and operate their schools, hospitals and churches.

These are the teachings of Islam through the Koran which calls them "People of the Book" and teaches Muslims to treat them with respect and justice and not engage in any aggression against them unless they initiate hostilities or mock their faith.

Please try to educate yourself before you jump to false conclusions. This will not solve any problems; it will only worsen them.

I think it cause it a revenge and a humiliation of Arab people by Jews. They have nothing to loose, because they think they don't live properly or not living at all (without human rights...). Am I right?
So, we have to blame Jews for this terrorism situation (and USA for supporting them).
