Were Germans who did not support Hitler's genocidal policies un-patriotic?
WE THE PEOPLE are angered by a President who's representing his own agenda, not OURS, and mis-using OUR military to fight a battle with NO DEFINITIVE reason or mission. WE CHERISH OUR SOLDIERS and their LIVES. However, we DESPISE a MANIPULATIVE and DISHONEST President.
Iraq does not threaten OUR freedom, did NOT perpetrate 9-11, does NOT have WMD's, and posed NO threat to the U.S.
FIRST it was WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.
- That was a lie.
THEN it was TERRORISTS WHO THREATEN OUR FREEDOM.
- Only our OWN government can threaten our freedom, and George Bush did so by passing the MIS-named Patriot Act, which diminished our rights and freedoms.
NOW it's about IRAQI FREEDOM.
- As we instigate an all-out civil war.
WE do not want our soldiers to die for someones LIES.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

Go on and preach my brother!
Sad how the true americans in my opinion are the ones considered traitors! Why anybody who wants to see his own die for an unjust and stupid cause be the one considered a patriot is beyond me!!
I love all my relatives that are fighting in Iraq, and NO ONE can tell me that the ones that sent them there support them more than I do!!
I'm the one who writes letters, I'm the one that keeps their morale up, I'm the one that worries night and day if they're going to make it okay!
SO, someone should tell me WHY we have to go through this!! Freedom? Whose? not mine by any means.

To recap its timeline: After 9/11, George Bush declared that Iraq was in defiance of the arms control and inspection agreements that were designed to keep him under control and was therefore an international menace. In his State of the Union Address, delivered on January 20, 2002 he told Saddam, “You are part of an ‘Axis of Evil’ and you are in defiance of the 1991 truce agreements. You need to comply with the terms of the truce you signed, and with the U.N. resolutions, and disarm, open your borders to UN inspectors and give up your ambitions to acquire weapons of mass destruction -- or else.” This ultimatum was delivered fourteen months before we actually went to war.
We all tend to forget that most democrats supported Bush going into war with Iraq, because Iraq did supply a base of operations for terrorist activity. I know that my opinions and views on the War with Iraq are not mainstream popularity. I also know that it is only a matter of time before the terrorist attack America on our soil again. Who are you going to cry to and blame than?

It is our RIGHT to gather and voice our opinions--guaranteed in the Constitution! A Constitution designed to be tolerant and teach tolerance.
While we are not perfect, this is still an ideal that we all should strive for.
Democracy in Iraq? We need someone to stand up and say that if the Iraqis do not embrace the idea that all persons stand equally before the law, then they cannot possibly forge a democratic union.

Nice "manifesto" So what is the solution now. Don't just say we should not have done it. What do we do now so that those Iraqi's will be safe and get our soldiers home? Can we just leave and everything will be fine? Answer that.

You are on the mark. Refusing to have our Constitution and our national integrity trashed is the tru patriotism.
Anyone, and any administration, who objects to free speech is the unpatriotic one. It's time to take back our country, bind up her wounds and once again act with honor and honesty.

If you think you're going to change minds here, boy aren't you up for disappointment!?
People have already their minds set, they do not wish to open them or concede some truths to anyone that doesn't agree with them 100%. It's like they have blindfolds on or into some psychic trance......
It's useless and it's going to make you more angry than anything.
Work to change the world by actions ( vote) rather than words on Y!A......

And the party in charge (Republicans who are SO pro-troops) have shamefully cut spending to veterans health care AND combat pay, have not provided the gear that the soldiers need to fight effectively and have not allowed the American public to view our lost soldiers coffins coming back so have denied them the hero's return they are due!
Shame on ANYONE who says I'm not patriotic!
Blind obedience is NOT what America was founded on!
