Oh yes, its also possible to have more than two daddies in one litter, the dog I have right now is a mutt, and her mother was a rotti/shepard mix, she doesn't look a thing like her mother, but my dog had 11 brothers and sisters and not one of them looked the same so obviously the mother got around when she was in heat.

Yes, AKC is now allowing a female to be bred two two sires and the pups parentage determined by DNA testing. I heard that only two litters of the thousands they'd tested actually had two sires (unconfirmed rumor). Most of the time the male who was lucky enough to be there at the exact right time ends up being the sire of all the pups

One, two or many! Yes, it is & does happen. And no, a vet or expert breeder can not evaluate the pups & then register ones it decides are purebred - this is not legal or ethical & would get them banned from the kennel club for bad breeding practices.

Yes, when the dog (or cat) go into heat, they can produce several puppies with multiple "daddies". Layman terms: the dog can be a slut and have several partners... and several mixes.

My puppy's mother was a long-haired Chihuahua. She was fathered by a Yorkie and her sister was fathered by a Min-Pin.
