I never drive drunk and nobody should. After I did some test that measure your reflexes and response times I realized how much drunk driving can be dangerous even after just 1 drink. Don't play with your or others lives.

It's a sad reality but I don't like to be on the roads around where I live on Fridays or Saturday nights. I know , I know someone could be driving drunk at any time of the day or the week but these are the big party nights. This makes you mad because you're a responsible driver. That's normal. Support your local MADD and don't let friends bite off more than they can chew.

Not sure why on immigration, but hey drunk drivers are always gonna be a part of the American culture, you cannot change it. Thousands die every year due to drunk drivers. You can't outlaw alcohol because big bussiness loose money and they'll lobby in congress to keep alcohol legal, if it is outlawed, just think back to prohibition and remember it didn't work. So if you're concerned, then be careful but it is not going away.

I agree with Ragdoll I used to work midnights and I would much rather face the 0700 road race than 0001 stagger home crowd. Holidays and weekends I do my best to stay one place after dark. As much as the police try there still seem to be one or two who get through.
More young American people in the age group 18-34 die in alcohol related auto accidents than in Iraq & that is demographicly allowing for the much smaller amount deployed.
I think one of the best solutions would be more public transportation, which would also help bring down fuel dependance/prices/traffic.

The government is going to really push anything that let's them criminalize the citizenry. Innocent people cannot be controlled, so the Government creates statutory criminals. You have been convinced that it is a good thing, and that is exactly the plan. America has long forgotten its freedom and and willingly surrenders it for the empty promise of security.

They need to push it. Get those drunks off the roads. There are so many options out there for them to get home safely which leaves us safe.
