Haram means "forbidden" and/or "sacred".
Halal means permissible. It's usage is similar to the Jewish term "Kosher".

Both are used in reference to Islamic dietary requirements

The answer may be Mecca because it is deemed as one of the holy places.

"If you eat it, its haram. If you drink it, its halal." Refers to swallowing ones pride.

I'm not a Muslim either but that's what I found on the net.

Makes no sence at all..especially the eating and drinking part..

the only words that come to mind is Mawla, Minbar, and Mu'Min, but it has nothing to do with being "used" once or three times..
