I like to think that it was more a case of being in the right place at the right time. Windows is hardly the most efficient or "safest" of OP systems, but it came at time when the world was hungry for it. Today there are 17 year old "kids" that can develop and program the pants off him by comparison to where he was at their age.

I sometimes wonder if he can turn on his own computer. He strikes me as the kind of guy who would rather get out the dice and play some retro D&D instead of just logging onto WoW.

What he is, though, is a brilliant businessman and one of the greatest philanthropists of the 20th Century.
