if you don't submit to my theology or convert, I will terrorize you, torture, mutilate and kill you and your family and destroy your culture (American, British, Spanish, Jewish...whatever) and my god will reward me....or does THIS bother you more?....I am a Christian, firm in my beliefs that we are all sinners, need a savior to attain everlasting life in heaven and that Jesus is God and that savior...and I'm not afraid to say so.

It appears difficult for people responding to state "WHY"...much easier to judge the question or belittle the asker...

The first statement, as in the second statement, there is no threat of death or torture if I choose not to follow

Can we stop this nonsense? We are all human beings. Let us use god and religion to help us lead a peaceful life. I mean, who has the time of the day to focus on other things other than just life?
It bothers me that there are people out there who are being `ghettoised' and they believe that this is the life they have to lead. If you sit back and think how different are we. Except that we speak different languages.
When we are cut, we bleed. We all get hungry, thirsty and our morning ablutions are the same. Some might be more charming and some not, but essentially we are all human beings........

Both are somewhat disturbing as neither gives any leeway for a third option. What if the truth really lies somewhere in between? I do not fear death by any nation or religion because I am firm in my beliefs that I will be in heaven when the day of my death comes. I have to die sometime and if it comes at your hands then it is God's will. And the Fundamentalist Christians who, it could be argued, are just as fanatical as you, will have to answer for whatever misinformation they spread as well. So it seems to me that for either side to take out the other is simply hastening God's judgement, which I for one am anxiously awaiting. Insha'allah

Radicals (not fundamentalists-that is different-that is just a conservative viewpoint of the subject, or religion) of any religion scare me.

But, if you are giving me these two choices, Islam makes alot more sense to me than Christianity does. I was raised in a Christian home, too.

the first one is more bothersome because they are heartless and cruel people and just want to hurt ever one who doesn't believe what they do. the second one is just stating an opinion.
