you can have one yearly, however it is usially used in instances of people with auto amune disorders that cant fight off infections remember pneumonia usially starts as a old of upper resp. infection which if treated will get better. those in need of a yearly vacine are the elderly and those with auto immune disfunctions also children suseptible of the infection

pneumonia is very rare nowadays, and easily curable. Influenza is entirely different.
