Midlife crisis x 100! Wow, why is he marrying a girl younger than his daughter? Is your friend's dad rich? If so, this girl is nothing but a gold-digger. Honestly, that is messed up. It seems hard, but your friend should ask her father why he is marrying someone so young? Do they truly love each other? She should also come out and tell her father how she feels about this union. Its the only way, she can't be silent about this. I'd also look into the girl, run a background check on her just to make sure that she isn't some kind of crook.

Love is funny like that. One thing that is unnatural will be what if you have children? If you had them right away by the time the child was 20 you'd be 41 but he would be 66. More than likely he would pass on years before you declined in health leaving you alone. In the end I believe you should follow your heart but think about what you want in a husband and does he fit the mold.

It's not the most common thing in the world but it's not unusual either. If neither of you have a hang up about the age difference and feel you can make a go of it, then more power to ya. GL

Society usually looks at men and women to be about the same age. But I don't see that age matters. I have seen some married people with that kind of age spread and they are happy after many years of marriage.

ita s popular notionn that for some reasons if a 40s man never fathered child ren in his 20 or 30s too leave a legacy behind bye getiing the 21 year old girl, knocked up, and leaving at least one child behind some reasons are there careeers job presuress, maybe travelinng and never really or werent hasppy in a first mariage or never thought about a mariage, and the notion of spriong a kid at that late in life just hits themm like a ton of bricks!!

it ain't for anybody to say they are grown. if no one likes it then oh well they don't have to marry you or him so i would tell them to bug off. but i think it is wrong because she is 21 and he is 46 over 20 years difference and she could probably find some one the same age as her and with the same fellings. but i'm not to say.

no, not unusual in my book.
nothing wrong with it -- people are entitled to marry who they wish.
and a 46 year old is NOT AN OLD MAN.
