a stroke is not a disease that can be cured. a stroke is what happens when the blood supply to the brain is cut off. Animals can fully recover depending on the type and severity of the stroke. if your cat appears happy then he you are very lucky, but may want to investigate what caused the stroke so you can avoid it happening again.
High colesterol, caused by a fatty diet and lack of exercise is a common reason for strokes in animals. Old age is also plays a big factor.
Every stroke is different and effects each animal in a different way. Without knowing more about your cat i can not give a lot of advise, check out this website, it is aimed at people most of the information is relavent for animals too.
Good luck, i hope your cat is feeling better soon

My cat had a stroke, she was 16. I cared for her for a couple of weeks, but she was very confused and kept bumping into walls and was not always aware of what was going on. After a couple of weeks, she seemed to completely recover over about 2 days, so much so, that she was better than she was before she had the stroke! This lasted about a month before she had another one, and then gradually deteriorated over the next week or so, with the odd good day in between. Then she died, but very peacefully, in her basket in front of the fire. What I'm saying is, that I don't think you can 'cure' a cat who has had a stroke. You can care for her, and make sure her last days are happy, but this is very time-consuming and messy work (clearing up after a cat who cannot get to the cat-tray), and it is difficult to decide at what stage it might be better to have her put down. If she is still eating, I suggest you try to get her to put on a bit of weight, as my cat lost a lot of weight which I think may have made her very weak. Try giving her lots of strong smelling food, such as tuna or sardines to tempt her to eat more and stimulate the senses. Lots of fuss will probably help too as it will help against stress (for both of you), but I'm sorry to say, your cat's days are probably numbered.

You cannot cure a stroke in any animal. If your cat has had a stroke, take it to the vet and ask for advice, dont just wait to see what happens, and underno circumstances give ANY variety of "human" medication. Very sorry.

Strokes do not have a cure. Depending on what part of the brain has been affected and how bad the stroke was-some cats can recover enough to be functional. Talk to the vet please.

You can't cure a stroke. You can only care for the animal afterwards as per the vets advice

Hate to say it but not sure that you can. When my cat had a stroke the vet said the kindest and best thing for him was to be put to sleep.
Hope someone else has better news

The long term damage caused as the result of a stroke is brain damage, and I'm afraid there is no cure for brain damage. I'm sorry, but if your pet is severely affected then the kindest thing is euthanasia.

If the cats condition is going to improve it will improve by itself. There is not anything you can do to help. Just take care of it and love it.

Give your kitty lots of love, sorry to say but your kitty probably won't be there much longer. To heal the whole in your heart, get a kitten. . .
