I would say not really, but some gods are very conceptual. It depends on what you have in mind, what you are focusing on. Those who worship fashion, beauty, sexiness, allure, and love may not be worshipping Venus but they may attract Her attention. When it comes to worship, you pretty much have to have certain associations in mind. Gods have names and associations that usually encompass more than just a single topic. Venus is about beauty, sex, and love. You can't say a fashion victim is worshipping Her by obsessing over fashion and beauty. You can't say a hooker is worshipping Her by having lots of sex. You can't say a romance novelist is devoted to Her just for writing about that kind of stuff.

If you're referring to the commandment where God says "You shall have no other Gods before me," He's talking about putting things in front of him on your list of priorities. It's about not putting God first. Looking up to Michael Jordan (example) instead of God. Spending more time looking through fashion magazines than the Bible. God sees that as worshipping those things and he does not like that. I hope that answers your question!

There is no gods but ONE GOD.
If there were more than one GOD, there will be a war between them. That is because each god will go with his part to his own system according to his own will.
Starting from the fine atom through huge Galaxy, every thing in the universe is going through the same order i.e. the same WILL .

Oh yes, many do just that in order to (as a friend confessed) "play safe". They doubt so many things, but lack the courage to question it!

Why would someone "worship" something they don't believe in? That does not make any sense.
