really that big of a deal to our economy? What are some examples of things they could be spent on instead? Are there really poor Americans Going WITHOUT because these dollars are spent on illegals. I would love to see links on actual poverty stricken homeless Americans that can not get help because they were turned down and an illegal alien was favored. Any one got any links on actual Americans suffering in the streets dying with no health care because illegals are favored? Or links showing what our tax dollars could really be buying if they weren't shed on illegals?

Not just poor but also middle class Americans are going WITHOUT a decent education and affordable health insurance due to funds for those services being drained to provide for illegal immigrants and their children. Totally apart from the $1 Billion Los Angeles County spent for illegal immigrant benefits last year alone and the $10 Billion California spent, the fact that the services the taxes are there to provide are so degraded is an unacceptable cost. The greater the concentration of illegals in an area, the worse these services are. Do some homework.

What about OUR children's better life and upward mobility through education, and the health care our services are supposed to provide for our own sick and elderly?

As to what our dollars would buy instead, just keeping the funds in the accounts they are in but providing decent education and health care would be a biggee. There will always be 'boondoggle' tax spending, but when it is at the expense of our children's upward mobility and health care for our sick, it is not ok.

First, there is the fact that, especially in the border states, hospitals are going bankrupt and closing down due to the huge numbers of illegals using them without having insurance and without ever paying. Governor Napolitano of Nevada decared a state of emergency recently partly because of that.

You have the declining quality of schools. More overcrowding. More kids who can't speak English and require extra attention and more money spent. That's money that has to be taken from elsewhere. Education is getting more and more expensive. You can only raise taxes so much before they actually cause harm to the economy and end up reducing the amount of revenue the government gets.

Increased cost of law enforcement. Nearly 30% of the prison population is illegals from Mexico.

Increased cost of auto insurance. When an accident happens, and the person who caused it is an illegal, often they drive away, or just simply can't pay. The insurance companies have to pass the costs on to everyone.

And then, you have the lower real earnings that lower-skilled and unskilled Americans receive. A National Academy of Sciences study found that illegal immigrant labor had the effect of lowering wages for unskilled work by 8%, while the savings that come from cheap labor in the area of produce is only about 0.6%.

What you request, however, is impossible. I can't find a specific homeless person and say that he was put out of work, out of home, and his dog killed because of illegal immigrant labor. The costs to our society are much more distributed to that. That said, though, they are substantial, and I have read that they run at about $80 billion dollars a year.

In California we are spending about 10 Billion a year on benefits for illegals... out of our state money.

Last year 11 emergency rooms shut down on southern CA alone from over burdening by those without insurance or other means of paying for EVERYDAY health care (not just emergencies).

Hispanics have a 40% high school dropout rate, and the CA educational system is utterly failing. The number one complaint teachers have is that the students do not speak English forcing the teachers to spend a disproportionate amount of time with those students and slowing down the rest of the class. By law, 40% of the states budget (and this is CA, the wealthiest state in the union) must go to education, and the system is still failing.

Two polls showed that approximately 3 of every 4 Hispanic children born in this state will be birthed by an unwed, teenage mother.

Now, a whole bunch of people are going to claim I am a racist because I have said these things out loud. They do this only because they really can't argue the factual points of a failing health care system, a failing educational system, and a failing welfare system in a state that is as big as CA... A state that is forced to take the brunt of the illegal immigration flood.

You're not seeing the whole picture. There are MANY trades beginning to hire a large number of illegals. This IS bringing down the wages and benefits of LEGAL American workers.

The free medical care they receive drives prices up for everyone, while jobs with good pay and medical benefits become fewer. A LEGAL citizen with a modest savings that prevents him from receiving free care can be COMPLETELY wiped out by any medical problem if he has no insurance. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Illegals in the work force have ALOT to do with employers being able to cut benefits.

Illegals are the largest single group in American prisons today. It costs the taxpayers money to house and feed criminals who shouldn't be here at all. The super-wealthy that profit from having illegals in the workforce they can pay slave wages to... pay very little in taxes. They don't care about the tax burden or crime problems caused by illegals (and they are very real).

I am not a racist. But the sad truth is... "Our" corrupt, corporate controlled government is intentionally making it easy for illegals to live and work here only to bring down wages in America BY BREAKING THE RULES AND LAWS. Allowing an invasion of the USA is treason pure and simple. I don't blame the illegals for wanting a better life... But they are being used as illegal, unfair financial weapons against the American worker. They are the source of major social problems and crime problems. That is a fact.

P.S.... You are cute...

Ok I don't have a link but I know from pure experience. I have seen my friend who are working 3 jobs just to get by. She doesn't have any health insurance. Recently she had to go to ER she was having female problems. Her and her boyfriend tried to get some help like medicare to pay for it or some sort of help. The lady across the counter didn't even bother to ask for state of income or anything they never filed out any paper work. Just plain oh NO I am sorry you don't qualify.
The nice lady did however told her and her boyfriend to have some babies maybe they would qualify.

What about the millions of American citizen that can not afford Health Insurance? That money could be used to help those people. The ones who do pay taxes.

The point IS, we should NOT be paying one red cent on welfare for illegal people who CHOSE to come here against our laws and took jobs at wages below our poverty level then got it subsidized by OUR taxpaid assistance programs wihich are PAID by OUR taxes coming out of OUR checks each week. OUR poor are OUR problem and we DO give them welfare when they qualify. ILLEGAL people should not get those same federally funded programs because they came here on their own and took low paying jobs. THEY should NOT be the TAX PAYERS burden. WE do have homeless who do not get those same programs because they don't qualify. (you have to have children or be physically impaired in order to qualify) Maybe if those illegal invaders were not here we could help some of our homeless who happen to fall through the cracks. That would be families who's main income has been reduced to the poverty level DUE to illegal immigrants taking jobs at lower than ususal pay making OUR wages plummet to poverty levels. The fact is WE should NOT be paying for ILLEGAL people to be here, period. That is ONE way we could reduce OUR taxes immensely and immediatele, legally. We do spend plenty of our taxes on other things we probably should not, that is irrelevent. ILLEGAL immigrants are ONE way WE can REDUCE our taxes DIRECTLY, IMMEDIATELY, LEGALLY! They ARE a BIG deal to the average American.

Illegal people are NOT MY problem! I should NOT have to pay MY hardearned money on taxes to support THEM. I do not make much myself. Many people are living paycheck to paycheck, one paycheck away from poverty themselves. WE should not subsidize the low pay of illegal immigrants, IT'S an OUTRAGE. Illegal invaders should be deported!! They don't belong here!!

From the following website:
On average, illegal households pay more than $4,200 a year in all forms of federal taxes. Unfortunately, they impose costs of $6,950 per household.

Social Security and Medicare. Although we find that the net effect of illegal households is negative at the federal level, the same is not true for Social Security and Medicare. We estimate that illegal households create a combined net benefit for these two programs in excess of $7 billion a year, accounting for about 4 percent of the total annual surplus in these two programs. However, they create a net deficit of $17.4 billion in the rest of the budget, for a total net loss of $10.4 billion.

No your taxes are not paying for public services for illegal immigrants. I'm from UK and I hear a number of Brits complaining about this same issue. If they are "illegal" then they kinda have to dissappear into society...yes? So how can they access public services which require registration? They would have to declare who they are...yes? Without a National Insurance number (Social Security number in US) they cannot legally work or access education/benefits. Without an NHS number (Health insurance in US) they cannot access healthcare. So unless their dodgy employers take care of it all or they admit they are illegals to the authorities (which could mean being taken to a holding centre and deported) they are not able to get any of the things that you consider to be your rights as a citizen. No-one knows how many "illegals" there are because they dont show up on records and so they are often scape goated by the media (they cant complain/sue) and mentioned for political purposes.

Yes, billions of our tax dollar go to providing welfare, free housing, free education, free health care to the criminals from south of the border. In return they bring their gangs, drug runners, perverts and child molesters. What a deal huh?
