Watching what you eat, and exercising is the only real way to lose weight!!

Diet fads can be dangerous and short term. If you start living healthy you will get addicted to it.

I was always unhealthy. My husband was always healthy. Together he showed me how to get to the gym every day, not only if I have time, but to make it priority. Plus we grocery shop together to get the best of foods.

South Beach Diet

Some advice : you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Good luck and stick at it.

Exercise and taking in less calories. I was 20 pounds over-weight and digesting 3500-4000 calories a day with little exercise. I started walking and bike riding, and limited my calories to 2000 as often as I could. I ate the same junk food, whole milk, pizza, etc., along with nutritional food but LESS of it. The weight came off and has stayed off for 15 years now.

Easy...
trust me it works!!!... eat a small meal every 2 hours... a portion of wotever.. the size of ur hand... at least 6 times a day.
Drink a pint of water, one hour after your meal, not with your meal!
(dont drink anything with meal)
small meal doesnt mean doughnut or chocolate bar.. but could be a low fat - sandwich (ie no mayo!)
treat urself once a day... for example a small piece of chocolate as a meal.
eat strawberrys, poultry, oats etc... u dont have to cut out carbs.

Trick is to stick with it... dont use scales!! i find it demotivating... after 2 weeks... should stop having un-natural urges for food. u will eat every 2 hours, and u will begin to notice weight loss

Very effective... used by athletes, and celebs!

I think that it depends on the person really. What is good for one is not good for another. I think that if you are going to chose a diet, just chose one that sounds good for you. I also think that any diet that a person goes on and stays on it, will be good for them. Too many people go on diets and don't stay on them, or go off for holidays, vacation, weekends...etc. DONT GO OFF OF IT FOR ANYTHING!

Stop eating junk food and exercise more.

Sounds simple I know, but it is if you really think about it.
