It's a sad loss for humanity, it's a critical blow to the ones who care about the world. My only fear is that there may be some politician who may use his death to ensure "environmental green wash" via manipulation and etc.

I don't want to see Steve's work be taken over by some greedy politician who would use his death to make sure paving the world is a good thing.

Yes I was shocked and saddened by his death, but its rather ironic that it was a sting ray that killed him and not his beloved crocodiles.I feel sympathy for his wife and children. He will be missed. He never mistreated an animal,he brought attention to their plight,he just did it with showmanship. To say the animals were tired of him is just wrong .Don't be unkind Nick

And Jan Id like to offer you my condolences on your fathers passing....You have my heartfelt sympathy.I too lost my father, and even tho its been 3 years I still miss him.Remember the love .

Yes it is sad. My prayers & condolences to his family. He lived his life fully each day...more than some people twice his age.

RIP Croc Hunter

You could just see his dedication. I think people will remember his humor and how he brought to the world, the understanding of animals that we would have otherwise not known about or understood. He will surely be missed. I think we should all pray for his wife and children, they are sure going to need them.

Horrible tragedy. He was a bit of a strange guy but a good guy. He has young children as well. Terrible thing.

Yes, he was exciting and fun to watch. I still can't believe that he didn't take more precaution. I feel for his family as I lost my dad 2 weeks ago.
