Completely disagree. Port is easy to drink. Cheap port is for beginners who only like 'sweet' red wines and refuse to like anything else.
Brandy is for chicks to mix with seven up at bars when they want to be different. It's also for after dinner drinking, but only if it's quality brandy. Cheap brandy is for people who think they are cool, but don't know how to be.
Wine (good red wine in particular) is for people who have taste, education, and a palate that can discern things. If wine is for boys, then someone has their stereotypes backwards or is making excuses for not understanding wine.
But hey, to each his own and drink whatever the heck you want as long as you enjoy it.

Sacrilege!!!! you mix a decent port with some wkd rubbish - how dare you!!!!
The only thing to mix with Port (if you really must) is Brandy. Otherwise drink it on it's own AFTER a decent meal.
What are the youth of today coming to??? do you not know how to treat decent wines and spirits???

Fashions change. Port used to be very cool and gentlemanly in another century. Heavy alcohol drinking used to be common (older James Bond movies will have 007 having a large glass of whisky around 10am).
Drinks don't make heroes.

yeah Brandy is a good drink.
I recommend you try Tuaca mixed with Canada Dry and a slice of Fresh lime. Although its not a strict Brandy its still sits very nicely in your stomach.
or ofcourse you could just shoot it.

Yep, Dr Johnson -for I think it was he - was on the money with that comment. Brandy is the best when you're looking for a bit of 'dutch courage'.

Real heroes drink what they like, even milk, and won't bother about what people think. They are too busy to care. Superman doesn't need to drink brandy to prove anything!
