Dog barks at night?

How can I stop my dog barking at night, she makes no noise in the day at all?

Go to petsmart and buy that collar for no barking. I think it is a try.

Fortunately my dog does not bark unless strangers are about. Your dog is probably barking because she hears strange noises outside at night. Maybe you can walk her around outside nightly and tell her that everything is okay. She is only being a good dog who is trying protect you.
Or try putting her dog bed in a small room with the light on (all night).
And of course, you should seek advice from your vet.
I'd never put a cruel-type collar around my dog's neck.

My suggestion would be first ensure you close the curtains in the room doggy sleep, dogs howl and bark at the moon, secondly buy a nightlight, complete darkness is disorintating for a dog. The nightlight will let dog see but not disturbs you and cause huge bills.

If that fails, buy a crate, put it in your room beside your bed and put doggy in it before you go to bed and if he makes a noise at night, you can calm doggy down with your voice and or by placing your hand on his crate. Once he has mastered sleeping throughout the night without disturbing you you can move dog and crate to your room of choice. The crate is like a dogs den so its his safe place, sounds like you doggy want to feel secure. i used this method for all three of my boys.
