My husband says that the dog has to stay alone some hours and that's bad, but I think it's just 2 days a week 4 hours and I'm trying to sort it with people who take dogs for a walk.

He had a dog when he was child and he's in trauma, I think.

What should I do?

You can tell your husband that a dog is capable of being home alone for those few hours. If your dog is a young pup under 3 months old, he will not have the bladder size to hold a lot of urine, so in the beginning, it would be better to have someone take him out to relieve himself every couple of hours. In between you can keep him crated and he will do fine. As he attains adulthood status, he can stay alone for 4 hours with no problems.

Why does he think its bad, does he mean bad for the dog? 4 hours twice a week is no problem, just walk the pup, leave a radio on and settle him with a chew stick.
Theres a deeper problem here. It has nothing to do with the dog but a lot to do with how your husband feels about something. Is he upset because oyu got a dog without asking him if he was ok about it first?

The dog will have no problem being alone for some time, as long as he has your love and attention when you get back. I would convince my husband, but if you can't, make sure the dog goes to a good home, don't throw it away. If you keep it long enough - supposedly trying to find the ideal home for him - I am sure he'll love it and will not be able to let it go.

I would keep the dog, and tell my husband to back off. the dog is able to feel his vibes . If YOU love it it will be a good dog...but I wouldnt let the hubby even feed it

puppies are a big responsibility..maybe he's not ready for all that ......try getting an adult dog,one that is already trained and well mannered.

i personally think puppies are really really cute but i would have to think twice about getting a puppy cause they require so much attn
