Lets start with the basics on this one. Muscle cells are made of many nutrients and minerals. Let's begin with macro nutrients. The macro nutrient are Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat. Of the three macro nutrients Protien and carbs are the big ones for forming new muscle cells. Fats play a vital role in developing muscle, but I will discuss those later. Protien is the biggie that makes new muscle cells, but is useless without carbohydrates. Protein and carbohydrates work synergisticly together to form new cells. The "Rule of Thumb" for the proper intake ratio is 1 gram of Protein for every pound you weigh daily, and 1.5 grams of carbohydrates for every pound you weigh daily.

Fats are essential for muscle development in the fact that most of the vitamins you need are only fat soluable. The fat enters your stomach and mix with the acids there to form a solution that grab the vitamins and transport them through out the rest of your body. The "Rule of Thumb" for fat is 10% of your body weight in grams daily.

As for being a hard gainer, the most important thing you need to do is count how many calories you take in every day. Using the 1,1.5, and 10% rule should insure you take in the proper amount of caleries a day. But on that note.

It is very important you ensure your body is nutritionly ready for a workout session. New muscle is made when a muscle cell is torn in half. If you do not have enough carbohydrates or protein "readily available" in your body during a workout session, your body will canibalize torn muscle cells to feed new muscle cells. This is more commonly refered to as "working yourself backwards".

Ensure you intake the most of your daily alotment of carbs at least 1.5 hours before you work out.

As for supplements, they make weight gainers (available at GNC), there are a multitudes of protien powders (as you will find 1 gram of protien per pound ratio is actually hard to come by in standard food). For increased results in the gym try L-Arginine or NO2. They are the same thing (L-Arginine breaks down into NO2 in the body). They are hemodilators and will dialate your blood cells, Increasing circulation and reducing the chance of "working yourself backwards". Also creatine is a no brainer, I assume you are already taking creatine.

DONT'S - Do not eat raw eggs, they are bad for you stomach and can lead to health problems over time. You do not lose any nutritional value by cooking them.

Do not use steriods. They are not addicting physically only psychologically. You will never see results from anything like steriods. Why not take steriods - The more testosterone you import into you body, the less your body will produce on its on. Once you stop taking steriods, your body will never start reproducing the same levels of testosterone. However since your estragen level were never effected, your body will continue to produce the same level of estrogen. And thats how you get what is commonly refered to as "***** ****". If you want any more tips contact me, I'm tired of typing.

You do that by regular exercise. You should not exercise every day e.g. you work out for 2 days then have a day rest.
You have to eat more. The best food stuff is egg and milk. you can make a mixture of fresh egg and milk and drink it quickly without tasting it. Add more sugar to mask the taste of egg. Believe me it is very beneficial. I'm doing this every morning.
You have to increase your consumption of meat especially chicken because it is easily digestable. You can have chicken in lunch time.
If you want more rapid results, you can take protein supplements wether tablets or poweder.
But be careful. DO NOT use Testesterone injections. They are dangerous and associated with may side effects on the heart, liver and genital organs.

1-save your money!,it's all a racket
2-when you eat, chew your food well and slowly!Go easy on the sugars because they speed up your metabolism making your body burn energy thus expending energy, especially when exercising
3-Any exercise program will help, but, you do not need expensive equipment to bulk up and be fit.push-ups for example:do them slowly-make every repetition count. This will make muscle grow!.Remember, eat an hour before exercise or an hour after.Good luck !
