On East 6th St b/w 1st & 2nd Aves on the Lower East Side, there are TONS of Indian Restaurants. Someone from the restaurant stands outside and tells you what's on the menu or what specials there are. Really good and really well priced!

Lexington and 28th street, I would really recommend the Kabab King at Jackson Hights in Queens. Indian Cusine is also good. Kababish as well

Indigo on 50th between 1st and 2nd can't be beat, The Nan is a perfect compliment to the etherial Chicken Tikka Masala
