jogging or running causes the digestive process to accelerate by physically moving the intestines and their contents and simulating a churning effect. also, the impact from jogging forces the contents downward as gravity is always a factor in any real-world equation. consequently your bowels very quickly become ready to evacuate. Isn't that annoying???? I think its any exercise really. I drink coffee prior to working out just so I don't have to 'go' while at the gym. It's strange though.....they say that your blood is diverted from your intestines when you are working out so I'm not sure what causes the increase in peristalsis.

exercise loosens the bowels. Jogging isn't the only thing -lifting boxes, shovelling snow and dirt does the same thing.

Exercise stimulates the internal organs, including the bladder and bowels. This is very healthy!
