Which Housing Area would you recommend in Fort Hood and Why?

Sorry should have thought of that.......................senior enlisted 3 or 4 bedroom.................walker village sounds nice big yards..tree....peacefully...does it have a elementary school there(which one).....thanks

It all depends on your rank. You obviously aren't going to get quarters for colonels if you are a specialist. I could help you better if you told me your (or your sponsor's) rank.

Walker Village has pretty nice houses. They are two-three bedroom, some four, the neighborhood is nice and quiet, with large yards with trees. One good thing is you are right near the commissary and the PX (there are two on Ft Hood). The only downside is the airfield right nearby.

Kouma Village is one of the newest ones, and I know lower enlisted live there as well as upper and officers. The houses were just built a year ago, and though the yards are a bit smaller and there are few trees, you are right near an elementary school and the houses look really nice.

Some new houses have just been built out in Comanche III area. It is a bit far from things, but the houses are nice, and again, there is a school close by.

My family and I spent over 4 years living in the Comanche III Housing Area, and while it is kind of far from everything, the quiet there was incredible. It was close enough to Copperas Cove that we could almost walk.(almost) I also taught at Duncan Elementary school at Comanche III for several years and the staff and students were wonderful. Of course, this was more than eight years ago, so I can't say what things are like there now, but the time we spent there was wonderful.
