Eat a high-protein diet (don't just skimp on carbs, eat them too!) and lift weights to body-build so that the excess calories aren't stored as fats. The amino acids in protein help build up muscle, but too much protein, by way of the Krebb's cycle, will be stored as fat if not properly utilized.
Talk to a nutritionist or a personal trainer to come up with an appropriate diet plan for your own personal needs. And good luck!

you want to gain weight at a healthy rate. you dont want to baloon up to an unhealthy weight. I would start out by going to a health food store (Whole Foods, Wild Oats, GNC) and get a high protien/calorie drink or smoothie mix. I would have that for breakfast and dinner with a high protien bar and a piece of fruit or a fruit salad. For lunch, have a high calorie salad (The ones at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are really good) and a fruit juice or a Jamba Juice/ Smoothie King. I would also start a weight training program, but not too much. You don't want to burn your effort away. By weight training you will develop your muscles and ensure the food is not stores as fat, but as muscle. Good luck! it worked for my sister and I hope it works for you!

Lead a good life that is free from all kind of mental or emotional stress and tension. Have healthy relationship, if you are 28+ of age, get married. It is better than having illegitimate relationship.
Exercise, if you are lazy, then just try to walk for 20-30 minutes everyday.
Stay away from cabbage. Drink milk shakes, esp. banana shake. Have some cashewnuts, almonds or any other nuts of your choice handy.
You will see the difference yourself in 30 days. :-)
