There is a Perfect place called Heaven, and there is a real burning hell There is no purgatory. All saved people will go to Heaven. All lost people(unsaved) will go to hell. There is no place in between.

There is no such place as purgatory. It is Biblically inaccurate. There was a place below the surface of the Earth known as paradise, where the old testament saints would go after dying. This section was near what is commonly referred to as hell, but it was perfect like the Garden of Eden. This place is no longer used, since Christ went to the "depths of the Earth" to claim His first fruits (old testament believers). He took them to Heaven with him and since every believer has gone directly to be "face to face with the Lord" upon dying.
Purgatory was invented by the Catholic Church to increase revenues. They claimed with family members and friends praying and paying they could get their loved one into heaven. Just another reason so many people are against the church.
These people who believe in purgatory being a place where you are cleansed is inaccurate. The Bible clearly states that sin is in the flesh, or body, which is left behind in the grave or sometimes even burned up during cremation. Sin is transferred biologically through the male "seed". This was Adams curse for his sin in the garden. We all know the woman's' curse, we have to deal with it on a monthly basis. The virgin birth of Christ was not merely for miracle sake. He had to be born strictly from a woman's seed in order to be born without sin. www.livingwordbc.org
As for the people here who believe religion is bad. They fail to understand that any system of belief is a religion. Atheism is a religion. These are people who have chosen to worship themselves rather than the creator. I dont't want to sound "preachy", but if you follow your gut feeling about there being a God then you are following a greater path than those who deny this feeling. It's something that we all experience in life. God has given us the freedom of choice as part of His greater plan. I say stay away from typical religious organizations, as they are usually corrupted by man. Find a small congregation that is independent from a large "denomination". Look for one with a pastor who studies the original languages and teaches in a catigorical way. They should teach according to the ICE method. Isogogics: Studying the original languages in light of the time in which they were written, Catorigories: Taking all related scriptures and organizing them into a topic, Exigesis: a word by word translation of the original languages.

Looks like you have two different curiousities going on here!

I do not believe in a "purgatory". The Roman Catholic religion teaches of a temporary place of suffering that they derive from just one verse in their version of the Bible. It is always dangerous to build a belief system based on one verse alone; this is where most religious cults develop. The Holy Bible completes itself, any verse should be validated by the rest of the book. This one is not validated anywhere else in the Bible. The Roman Catholic church uses this teaching to extract money from the survivors of dead people, giving a false hope that they can be "bought" out of suffering. The Bible contradicts this teaching in numerous passages.
Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for people to die once--and after this, judgment--
Luk 23:42 Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!"
Luk 23:43 And He said to him, "I assure you: Today you will be with Me in paradise."
Joh 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
Joh 3:15 so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Joh 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Joh 3:18 Anyone who believes in Him is not judged, but anyone who does not believe is already judged, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.
There is a vast difference between "church", "church building" and "religion".
The "church", biblically, refers to the congregation of those who believe in Jesus as the Risen Saviour and trust in Him , and Him alone, for eternal salvation.
A "church building" has four walls and a roof.
Religion is a man made philosophy incorporating the beliefs that he has found himself to enjoy.
I suggest that you grab a Holy Bible, read it, and follow what it teaches.
http://www.standontherock.org/bibleversion.html
Attend a local Bible teaching and believing church for fellowship and further teaching and trust what God says and that alone for your eternal salvation.
Avoid any group of believers and religious body that gives you ANY type of rules to follow. If that rule is not held up by two or more scriptures, it is man made, not God breathed!

There is not a single reference to Purgatory in the Bible as its nothing more than a place concocted by religion in order to create fear and extort the ignorant, The Bible makes it very clear that after this life there is only heaven or hell each of which is a one way street with no return!

I strongly believe in the purgatory. We must be purified before entering a world of no sin. How could us, humans with much sin in ourselves, go directly somewhere like Heaven? Impossible. Therefore, the purgatory is the last "trial" before being granted the wonderful and beautiful opportunity of going to Heaven... : )

There is a heaven and a grave.
When Jesus returns he will raise everyone up, eventually there will be a time when all who have ever existed will stand before the golden city of God. And then will be destroyed forever. Some will suffer horribly, some will not.
Satan will suffer the most. Who knows how many days, years or what not this fire will burn for, but it will not burn for infinite years.

Forget about the whole thing. Joining any religious organizations is bad for the brain. Look at all the people foaming at the mouth who write on this site.
Become an independent mind instead, watch their shenanigans from a distance and have fun.
Good luck.

There is no heaven, nor is there a hell. Along with purgatory, Oz and Narnia, they are all imaginary places.
Try not to confuse fantasy with reality ok?
