These self-proclaimed individuals no more represent the Master than Pee Wee Herman represents Pope!

These are "men of mammon" more than they ever were men of God.

No one is as shameless as the Hairspray addict, the guy with the King of Kings Coiffure, that Palestinian Pentecostal Preacher, BENNY HIN ... now there's a trickster... !!!

He made $32,000 disappear for his Hotel Bill during his one week "Crusade" in London..."$32,000.00" USD !!!!!

On the Bill of fare:
The Royal Westminster Enclave 9 Room Suite, Bodyguards, his entourage of 23 including Hairdresser and cases of hairspray all occuping Jr. Suites on the same floor!

One wonders how many little old ladies shave off 10% or more of their miserable monthly Social Security check to pay for Benny's Suite(s) and Private Leer-Jet...one can only wonder.

Jesus never tricked anyone, but these Wolves in Sheep's clothing are doing a good job!

What say you Christian?

Hello!! :o) I hope you're OK. I'm sure there are a few decent televangelists - but they're probably broke and can only afford to get on TV on Tuesdays at 4 AM - on some 'community channel'!! I came to accept God and Jesus in an unusual way. [Or at least I've always believed it was unusual] I was fascinated by the idea of, "If I was SATAN - what would I do to make CHRISTIANS look like idiots?" Well... after seeing a few televangelists at 'work' - I saw firsthand - one if his ways. But really - it's pretty darn clever - wouldn't you say?! If you want to impress upon the world that only an idiot would follow Christ - then tell everyone that you follow Christ - and BE that idiot. Sadly - the line is becoming even blurrier between televangelists and the home shopping network. I enjoyed reading your 'question'. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

Why do some people wrap their lives around money? sex? drugs? alcohol? internet? video games? so on?

Do you know there is a lot more money being taken from people by non-religious internet get rich quick scams than there are any evangelists? Why don't you crusade against internet scams?

Most Christians don't wrap their lives around tele-evangelists. What you see as a large following is a small % of Christians. Some people who send money to evangelists are sincere people who just happen to be dupped.
Some of those are old people who can't get to church so their church is a tele-evangelist.

But you know what? The sincere Christian who sends money to a tele-evangelist will be blessed whether or not the evangelist is legit.

Some people preach the gospel to make money, to make friends, to get famous, some preach out of a sincere love for Christ. But no matter the reason; thank God the Gospel is being preached.

God doesn't ask you to follow the human messenger; he asks; what are you going to do with the message?

Sorry my name is Redeft not Christian!
These morons rule the airwaves because people are weak and need to be told how to live their lives. All religions are based on the fact that people are sheep and rely on someone else to direct their every thought and action. What say I.... get a life and realize that there is no god!! Life is what you make of it and not what some false prophet tells you what it is for a small donation.

I believe some people want to believe in something..and after you start believing in that concept..its the best thing that ever happened to you...people are easily persuaded...all evangelist have one thing in common...they're out to get your money...they're like car salesman selling you religion..it takes a strong person to saying no...now go my son..and don't forget to leave $10 in the charity plate on your way out..

there is a sucker born every minute. religious people like you describe are out to gain material wealth at the expense of gullible people who think they are doing " THE LORD'S WORK " but who really don't care about their follower's Spiritual growth. showing true Religious Church services on television is a good thing but these television " frauds " should be taken off the air.

I agree with you in this example, but not all of them are wolves in sheep's clothing. I prefer the local church, they are the ones who minister to the needs of the community. I don't confuse "show business" with Christianity.

It's nothing to do with religion. It's just that the religion business is such a marvelous con game. Don't be envious -- get your own TV show.

I am a Catholic, and I am very wary of most tele evangelists. For the most part, I think that they are in it for the money.
