My sons father was sent to prison 18 years ago, Im not sure if he is still in or not and want to try and find him, does anyone know how?

He went to prison before our son was born, I havent had any contact with him since, but now my son wants to meet his father, so I agreed to help him find him.

18 years is a long time. What I suggest you do is call the National Parole Service in Ottawa to find out. If they cannot help, you can always try the John Howard Society. Good luck .

There is a Law of Limitation in Canada too and it permit up to ten years.However you can first make inquiry with your son and then through Home dept of Canada.Also with the city police who made his arrest.I wonder what is your relationship with your sons father ?
