What a slightly ignarant question, have you never heard of the IRA? they were/are Iris and they were pretty big terrorists, they terrorised the Uk for many decades. (There are many more but i couldnt be bothered to name more)

Also i would like to point out that if you look at any "freedom" fighter through out history they were terrorists as well. E.G the founding fathers were terrorists to the british colonys back in the earlier days of America, they only reason the Americans consider them to be freedom fighters now is because the british pulled troups out of there to concertatrate on the french. If the British had continued and ended the rebellion than history would say they were terrorists and Benedict Arnold would be hailed as a hero.

First of all, terrorists have no religion and the Islamic religion doesn't have any relation with terrorism...
for answering your question, it's because the media only focus on wt's happening in the middle east, and they dont focus of what the Israelean r doing in Palestine and Lebanon, and wt's the American and the British r doing in Iraq, from killing innocent people, children, age, and women, they assaulted their land without having any rights, while those people are only defending their countries...please have a look on the president of the united states, he's being hated by his own nation, so no comment after that...

However history demonstrates that the most horrific acts of Terrorism has been carried out by the freedom loving democratic nations of the West and Israel, especially against Muslims. According to the Official FBI definition of terrorism: “Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”

Could it be possible that Islam, whose light ended the Dark Ages in Europe, now propound the advent of terror?

Islam considers all life forms as sacred. However, the sanctity of human life is accorded a special place. The first and the foremost basic right of a human being is the right to live. The Qur’an says about the one who kills an innocent person: “….it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole of mankind.” [Al-Qur’an 5:32]

Such is the value of a single human life; the Qur’an equates the taking of even one human life unjustly, with killing all of humanity. Thus, the Qur’an prohibits murder in clear terms.

Bush invoked the “War on Islam”, as a dictum of power, not reason and wisdom, to camouflage the prospective future with acts of barbarity and to dispel the notion of accountability in global affairs. Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.

They're not! There's far more going on in the world than you see on TV!! Although most terrorist groups (not all) claim to be doing 'gods' work in one form or another.

A great man once said:
With out religion, good men will do good things,
and bad men will do bad things.
But it takes religion to make good men do bad things!

It also depends on your view point. During the Second World War, the Germans saw the French Resistance as terrorists.
One man's terrorist is another mans freedom fighter!

Most terrorists are naturalized citizens of the US and European countries, and so they become western terrorists. However, these terrorists originally came from muslim or middle eastern countries. Also, muslims are one in belief that mankind's first and only religion is islam. And so it goes that all terrorists are muslims. Hope this helps you solve your question. It's as simple as that.

Well it might seem that way at the moment but if you asked the question 10 years ago most people in the uk would have asked the same question but changing middle east to irish.

Why is the question asked 5 times a day? Also, why do people always get upset, when that is the response the hate-mongers are trying to elicit. When you respond with insults, not only do you fall to their level, but then the jerks will use your answer as a portrayal of your religion. I'm a Christian, and it hurts me to see Christianity bashed as well. I wish we would all seek higher ground. *Sigh*, just a thought.

In the UK we have been living with the threat of Terrorism from the IRA & assorted Protestant factions ... for years .. but then again neither of them wanted to take over the world.. The Muslim religion has been hi-jacked by Megla-Maniacs who crave power.. and the ordinary Muslim people are powerless and too non-violent & frightened to say or do anything about them.

They are not. It depends on the times in which you are looking. 20-30 years ago in the UK terrorists were Irish Catholics who were members of the IRA. In Ireland itself terrorists came from the opposite religious group to your own.

At the moment though, because acts of terrorism are carried out within the UK mainly in response to Muslim sympathies and in the main by muslims, they have inherited the label.
