You can get an RF detector at Radio Shack for about $20.00, but that will only show you if something is transmitting. If recording conversations, just check everything you have in the area for tampering, speakers, phones, computer equipment (speakers, etc), overhead areas where equipment is stored. Also remember the device has to be powered some how for look for a power source being tapped.

Assume that wherever you are, you are being bugged. There is no safe place. In other words everyone can hear exactly what is being said.
Can sign language help? What about hand written text? How about developing an unbreakable code?
There are anti-bugging devices which pick up on signals from things like mobile phones etc. You could try using them, or you could just make the assumption that whatever you say will come back to haunt you. Therefore, don't say anything that could be used against you.

Say things that are really preposterous, and no one could ever possibly believe. I had a coworker who was gossiping about everyone, so I started spreading weird gossip about myself (me and my mate Chris turned this into a fine art form). Then we had a laugh at how the stories got twisted and misconstrued when we heard them come back. After something like that, no one will ever believe anything about you they don't hear directly from you.
Basically if someone is bugging your conversations, and you put in phrases like "Oh, I'll just take my false leg off" (and you don't have a false leg) then no one would believe the stories that come out of it - and you could all claim that it was staged.
Have fun with it. If the bugging is full of inane drivel and insane conversations, they really can't use it for anything.

It depends how weird your coworkers are but they are breaching your human rights which there are laws about. But try finding some solid evidence that they are actually bugging you and if you can take it straight to your boss.

Say bad things about the co-worker. Everyone has to respond, one way or the other.
