"sins with the flesh" i'm pretty sure would be talking about sins with other flesh not with your own. :)

Mat 5:28 that was quoted is talking about married people, which i'm not. And I don't think watching porn or using the imagination, counts as adultry in any case. :p

Romans 1:26-32 has nothing to do with masturbation. It's talking about homosexuals.
don't know what masturbation has to do with that.

It's the story of Onan that Bible-beaters interpret as a prohibition of masturbation. What Onan did was not masturbation at all -- it was coitus interruptus -- he pulled out and spilled his seed on the ground.

Onan's sin (come on, bible-beaters, read your bible carefully)... Onan's sin was NOT anything sexual -- his sin was to disobey God's order to impregnate his sister-in-law.

Why don't modern-day Christian men perform this same duty for a brother who has passed away?

The bible does not clearly says that masturbating is wrong..... it is the acts that go with masturbating that is not acceptable.
Lust.... to imagine or fantasizing about another person or parts of a person.

and the spilling of the seed.... Genesis 38:9. At that time it was against the Mosaic laws for any man to spill himself anywhere except to procreate with a woman and if you read this verse(s), you will see that Onan was to marry his dead brothers wife and to bring seed in the name of his older brother but he agreed to have the sex but refused to raise children to his brothers name and spilled his self on the ground. And God slew him.

So it's what is involved with masturbating that displeases God.

Masturbating is not good for another reason too. It makes the person more sexual than normal. One thing will lead to another and you will eventually end up hooked on porn and even if you were married, you may still be hooked on porn or over sexed. Try your best to concentrate on other things instead of focusing on sex. But I know it is easier said than done. especially when everywhere you look there are people walking around that's practically half naked...especially on t.v.

Find some focus in your life....well I hope you can. Peace.

Brother Mat 5:28 does apply to you. You are not to have sex period before marriage, thinking about it is also a sin, just like anger is breaking the 6th commandment.

Thinking of women breaks the 10th commandment also. I know many young Christians who have abstained from such abominations, because Christ gives them strength to abstain. Phil 4:13

It's what you do when you masturbate, as in lusting after someone. One of the Ten Commandments is that you should not commit adultery, but Jesus said that even if you lust after a women you are an adulterer at heart.

Lusting after someone is the sin, hence the reason why masturbation is usually considered "bad".

old question, comparable answer. The sin of Onan, to spill his seed instead of giving it to his sister-in-regulation as grew to become into required via Jewish regulation, grew to become into offensive to God, such that Onan grew to become into struck down. That mentioned, masturbation is a selfish act that performs to self-gratification and thinks not something of others. each and every time we've interaction in doing what we would like instead of doing what the Lord needs us to do, we've interaction in prideful events. thus, masturbation is likewise a prideful sin using fact of its selfish nature. You mock the God given powers of procreation once you waste them on your guy or woman excitement instead of sharing them with your substantial different as grew to become into meant via God, that the two could develop into one flesh. So, even although the Bible would not use the observe, it is rather a sin interior the sight of God.

I will tell you in portuguese cause I'm brazilian:
Deus criou o sexo para ser praticado entre duas pessoas (homem e mulher), mas quando o homem se masturba sozinho, ele está sendo egoísta, trazendo prazer apenas para ele. O sexo dever ser praticado entre homem e mulher. Nunca sozinho. Ou a bíblia diz que pode ser feito assim?
I told in portuguese cause I dont know how to say some words in english.

What do you think about when you masterbate, when you answer that, read this verse.

Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
