1- long or short hair. I recommend short hair. Longhairs are beautiful but take so much time to groom. brush a short hair once or twice a week and you are through.
2) boy or girl- If you get this cat fixed it doesn't matter much. Unfixed cats of either sex are nothing but trouble.
3) pedigreed or mutt mixed breed. Some pedigreed cats are sooooo beautiful. if you have fallen in love with the way a breed looks nothing can be done. You want that cat. If not, I advise you to go to the local shelter and let one of the cats there pick you out. that's what I did the last time and it has worked out fine. Sometimes shelters have purebred cats too.
4 some people think the color of a cat will give you clues to its personality. There is no proof of this.
5 Get a kitten who is outgoing and playfull. If you can see the mother thats good too. the kitten should not have a runny nose or eyes.
6) the kitten should not be removed from it's mother untill it is 8 weeks or better yet 12 weeks. There is a lot to being a cat and mother has to teach them.

well if u get a street cat try to find one that looks in good health and strong enough to keep alive or from a pet store or animal shelter ask them which kitten would be the best to take home

Get one from an animal shelter. Give a kitten who needs a home one.

Calico. Calico cats are even tempered. They adjust well to
their surroundings and get along well with kids and dogs. That
is the type of cat I have. Calicos are like several different types of cats all rolled into one sweet furball. If you get a domestic
short hair you won't have to worry about too much shedding.

I just got a Himalayan and Persian kitten and it is such a great kitten i love him to death and i would Say don't get a coon they are mean cats

get one from your local animal shelter. this time of year, they're over-run with kittens.

It depends if you want one for a pet, or one to make dinner with. If it's for dinner, marinate them overnight in italian dressing, then cook on low in a crockpot for 6-7 hours. They all taste great!

Get a long-hair domestic tuxedo cat!!!!! They are the absolute best cats and so fancy!

Hi, I will ask you to please get one from you local animal shelter, there are so many little kitties that just will melt your heart.. that no one will get ....and you know the end of that story...
