Corn is not a vegetable and it turns to sugar in the stomach. Think corn syrup. It is a whole grain. For years I thought I was feeding a healthy food to my family when in fact I was just feeding them worthless carbs that will do nothing for them but make them fat. Right up there with white flour and white sugar to high in carbs.

Corn is not a vegetable, it is a grain. Modern corn has a very high sugar content. Most Europeans do not consider it fit food for humans, it is only for fattening livestock.

1 cup of corn contains a whopping 123 grams of carbohydrate, with 15 g protein and 8 g fat.

Corn.....Is actually a vegetable.....like all other vegetables it has carbohydrates and very little fat or protien. Corn is really good because it is natures sweetness and is low in calories. One cob is around 80 calories. They can be eaten steamed or boiled and even the raw corn seeds can be made into popcorn.

But before you rush to eeat too many....be cautious that it has a relatively high glycemic value. Which means you're blood glucose is gonna come crashing down fast. I wuld recommend that you use corn as an additional to other foods. It is really great on salads....in coleslaws and in stir frys.

Hope this helps
cheers

Pretty much everything is a carbohydrate. Many people think of things like pasta or bread, but so are all vegetables and fruits.

If it isn't a meat (protein) or a fat, then it is a carbohydrate.
