I sometimes like a ponytail and she'll tell me 'you've got your hair off your face again'. I like to wear it this way sometimes. Why do moms have to be so narrow minded?

Wear it what ever way you feel comfortable with..Mothers need to feel they are still in control of their children, especially their daughters.
Worst thing is, they hated it when their mothers did it to them!

Tell your mom that you are an individual and you like to try new things and create your own personality and style and since you are not a problem child she should just allow you to grow and be proud of you not mould you into what she wants you to be. Tell her you will go throught your life how you feel fit and learn from your mistakes.
A lot of parents try to use their kids to follow their own dreams or protect them from mistakes they made, They do it because they love you but doing something because they love you does not make it right. Stand up for your rights as it is your body. Tell your mom you don't mind if the has tips or advice but to quit trying to rule you

Your mum should let you wear your hair the way you want it, she should be happy to see you take care of your looks. It's nice to vary styles and try different things.

Because your growning up, she likes that hairstyle cos it reminders her of you as a baby or a younger girl. Maybe having a chat with her to let her know you want to experiment with your hair more and even asking her if she will come with you to a accessory shop or hair salon, will help her realise that her daughters growing up and its time to understand that.

when u go to skool chnage it in the bathroom and at the end of the day change it back its so simple or just tell your mom ur not a baby anymore and u can do what u wanna do or something along that lines

when it comes to personal style and preference, you should trust your instincts. if you think you look good in a certain style then try it. tell your mom that you want to experiment with other looks so you'll be able to find the style that looks best on you.

My Mom used to like doing mine like Princess Di when I was five, I would wait about 2 minutes before changing it.

i assume you are a grown up tell her that you are lucky to have hair and a face that enables you to have versatlie styles then tell her about women who have no hair and how they would do anything to do what you can do with your hair and tell her it is your life and you want to have embarrasing picutures of really bad styles for your album like we all have - go to it

I completely understand, my Mom is exactly the same. Just stand your ground, it's your hair, as long as you feel completely comfortable it's all that matters...

You should wear as you please. Mom's don't have to be narrow minded and most aren't. Don't be too hard on her, though.
