Dandruff is a yeast infection. I'm not sure about home remedies, but your best bet is Head and Shoulders anti dandruff shampoo. Wet your hair, massage in the shampoo, and rinse. Repeat again if you need to.

There are also specialist medical dandruff shampoos, I think neutrogena do one. But if you have dandruff, isn't better to get it sorted quickly than mess around with home remedies. hope this helps x

Dandruff is flakes of dead skin of the scalp.

Try washing your hair regularly.... It helps

Try some shampoos that are acid based and made for dandruff free hair. They should work. (Head & Shoulders
and blue Selsun I think)

Also, try massaging coconut oil into hair once a week, leaving it on for around 30 minutes - 1 hour before shampooing it off.

Lemon juice can work too!

If you have cider vinegar at home, put some on into your hair and scalp... leave it in for 30 minutes or more before shampooing it.

I personally used to have dandruff and therefore, i tried coconut milk. I applied cocnut milk on my scalp 1 hr before i went for taking head bath. I did this once in 3 days. Make sure u use warm water only while taking head bath. Dont use too much hot water. And also make sure that after u take head bath, u dont tie ur hair when its still wet or semi-wet. Let it dry fully before u tie it.

I don't know any home remedies for dandruff, but since you mention that you have too much of this flaky mess, I suggest that you use this anti-dandruff shampoo, NIZORAL. It's strong stuff, so use accordingly.

Or you can get your GP to prescribe you some shampoo or whatever for your condition.

Good luck!

Besides taking some homeo treatment, give a message with lemon juice. Repeat this as often as you can. Take a nourishing diet. Do not allow dust to settle down on the head. On all such occasions, when you happen to be in the sun or in dusty areas, you must have a thorough wash and ensure the removal of the dirt and accumulation of sweat on yourself.

uhh head and shoulders shampoo doesn't smell too great but it works well for your dandruff

and sometimes you can have dandruff from washing your hair TOO much, you dry your scalp out and don't allow your natural greases to do what they do and this causes flaking so if you think this is the problem you might wanna try using shampoo every other day
