I would like to trace an old will that would have been made out to my ancestor. I dont know where to start looking, but the information would help me to locate other members of her family. It may have been made in Salt Lake City Utah

Hey PHILIP C,

Wills are legal documents that are filed with the local governments, City, towns etc. Start there, you say in Salt Lake City - the city of Mormons (LDS) where the best records in the world are kept.

Try the GENFORUM of Genealogy .com they cater to specific family names. There you can communicate with other people about the same people you are looking for (usually).

Then try vital records for that city/state.
