Cut him some slack, I bet he changes is tune real quick. Some people just need some space sometimes, and it has nothing to do with the other person.

Absolutely agree. He should talk to you about his stuff, not take it out on you. A partner should always be treated with respect, and opinions listened to. Just coz he's had a crap time, no need for you to have to have a crap time from him. Support and love should go both ways, if it doesn't, then maybe should be thinking about other options. Counselling etc or at the very extreme, getting out of the relation. Although thats always a last option in my book. Have you tried sitting down and telling him how you feel?

It's sad but true. We really hurt the ones that we love the most sometimes. No, he should not treat you this way no matter what and perhaps talking it out calmly when he feels a little calmer and letting him know that you want to be there for him not as a punching bag, but someone to stand beside him to help him in thick and thin. I do wish you the best.

its a shame that you have to ask this question. both a woman and a man in a relationship should be treated with love and respect. granted, we all have a tenency to take a bad day out on those closest to us but that does not mean that we are to become their "whipping post." if his behavior towards you doesn't change SOON you might consider getting on with your life without him. remember, we SET THE BAR in how we are treated...if one is allowed to walk all over us and treat us like ****, they will continue to do so, and we have noone to blame but ourselves.
good luck.

She should be treated like a princess. Hard time or not, treating you badly has no excuse.

You should talk to him and tell him how you feel.. And yeah, he should not treat you like that... Whatever problems he has, he should still treat you well..talk to him, but if he still treats you like that after talking to him, let him go he's not worth your time...

Tell him straight out that you care about him and that you are trying to understand and be supportive but you will not be ignored or mistreated due to his stress.

You are obviously concerned with his actions, which is a clue for you to re-assess your relationship with him. If you feel disrespected by him now, in a few years I can't imagine his actions getting better. Think, is he worth the trouble?
