please take 'Iron Tonics'(atleast 30mins before lunch)after consuting with a general practioner).women generally tend to have lower haemoglobin in their blood. this effects oxygen supply to the entire body and to brain in particular which leads to drowsiness. this effect is something similar to feeling sleepy after heavy lunch or dinner.( In this case blood would have rushed towards abdomen to aid in absorption of nutrients reducing supply of oxygen to other organs including brain and so we feel sleepy. ) in your case it could be just a case of anaemia ie low haemoglobin count

first you should pick a place just where you study! If you study in bed your brain assciates it with sleepy and thus causing you to be sleepy (unless you do everything in bed.. eat sleep watch tv play games etc.) Nonetheless, you need to pick a place where you can always use it to study... make sure it is clean so you have no distractions.... get a pop or some red bull or coffee.. may help you study.... just keep hydrated... orange juice or water could do the trick just as well. Study for a short time and take a break... go outside for some air, go talk to someone for a min, the suggested study time/break is 15 mins to every hour, but you can shorten this to your study habits... you have to find what works best for you.. maybe try 30 mins of studing with 10 min breaks.... then when you get the hang of it lengthen the study time (never go over an hour though). I hope this helps if even a little Good Luck!

You may be missing sleep if you have obstructive sleep apnea (Your doctor can check you for this) Usually this condition has other conditions along with it like obesity and/or high blood pressure.

You may be sleeping poorly due to a hectic schedule or stress about your studies.. If you are staying up too late and not getting the sleep you need, you might become sleepy during the daytime or during your awake hours.

Diet can also play a huge role in your sleep. If you are eating large or heavy meals just before going to bed or high-fat meals, perhaps your digestion is causing you to sleep more fitfully. Try eating earlier and if you get hungry later for a snack, try carrot sticks or rice cakes, something light and healthy. Drink plenty of fluids too!

I am having the same problem 2-3 months ago
I read a book about this problem and I learned that people (around 16 - 34) need only 4 - 6 hours sleep. You will concentrate on sleeping hours and 1 month later you will be more safe; believe me ..

I was feeling this way after I had my first child and it turned out that I had iron deficient anemia. Go to the doctor and have your hemoglobin and iron levels checked. Iron allows oxygen to be carried in your bloodstream, low levels of iron can slow down this process and make a person tired very easily, making a person want to sleep much more than usual and have no energy.
