I am sorry to have insulted the Atheists. I am sorry to have acted so unfairly; insulting them in a way I said they were insulting others. In the moment, yesterday, I had felt particularly angry at Atheists for the way MOST are. I did NOT say some Christians are any better, though. I have no idea why SOME Atheists keep insisting on that part-- I know it. But anyway, the point is, I'm extremely hurt yet I guess I can take at least half the blamefor being so. Someone said I lack maturity, though here I am taking the initiative to say sorry... which many humans have trouble doing... at an older age obviously.

Well, I hope that you can accept my sincere apologies..... thank you.

I accept your apology and think it takes a huge person to say your sorry. I think we should accept all religions, races, sexes, etc. That is the American way. I guess the best thing you can do is accept that Atheist's beliefs are just as good as any other persons and do not insult them anymore. Kindness comes from within your heart not who you worship. Thanks for coming forward.

It's good you can apologise in public, although for what, I have no idea of, as I was not there.
Remember though, only YOU should have the power to control your emotions, no other, therefore it would be indeed a show of maturity for you to accept FULL responsibility for the way you feel.

As an Atheist, I accept your struggling apology for your alleged childish behaviour. Next time you feel the need to say sorry for something though, try and stick to just an apology and don't voice the facts like: "Someone said I lack maturity, though here I am taking the initiative to say sorry" as that in itself, shows immaturity.
As for "MOST" Atheists, well, that comment just highlights the reason I called this a "struggling" apology, for I doubt very much you actually KNOW the majority of Atheists, rather, you know the ones that are incapable of restraint.

So, well done. Just don't do it again.

I commend you for showing maturity by apologizing. The problem with your questions (or statements) were that you were behaving or using words like some of the rabid Christians. This is why lots of people have problems with religion. not with Christianity alone. I am not saying all atheists are good. There are some who are just as rabid.

As far as these forums are concerned, I wouldn't worry much about it. If you are going to get hurt by the statements made on here then you really have a problem. Some people on here are looking to put people down and make stupid statements. I would just laugh at it and move on.

By the way, I am agnostic. :)

Trouble is, both Atheists and Christians as well as Agnostics, Pagans, Witches and all other religious beliefs have a right to their opinion. The problems happen because since people have different types of faith and different belief structures, all based on various reasons. Many people have trouble accepting the beliefs of others as valid possibilities. It is unfortunate that humans generally prefer to sway others to their way of thinking rather than just to live and let live. Some even become violent to those who believe differently.

Sure, it has little to do with me, but as a spiritual person I get tired of seeing the people on here who seem to be engaged in an ongoing game of dozens or something, for all the thought they're putting into the insults. I see unkindness from all fronts- Christians, Athests, Muslims, Pagans, whoever- so it's nce that you're trying to calm the waters a bit.

Bravo! It is really hard for most people to publicly express sincere apologies.
Yes, selfless love and moderate attitude will create miracles.

If one wants respect, one shows respect.

If one wants one's own views respected, one shows respect for others' views.

When you, I or others ask a question to which someone takes umbrage, one shouldn't complain if others complain.

It's as simple as that. It's easier to walk if you don't have your foot in your mouth.

I'm not really involved, but internet forums probably dont contain a variety of personalities. (Athiests you might better get along with are probably doing something more worthwhile) And, yes, i realize i am doing this too :P

.
We all are humans with more or less different beliefs/non-belefs.

We all learn because we dare to share our opinions.

Have a nice day :-)
