she might need her blood taking maybe she has got anaemia!
when pregnant the baby needs iron so it takes yours away from you, when i was pregnant i got it and it really is hard to do every day things. take her to the docs to get checked. i had it and didn't find out until i was in labour when they realised that i hadn't had my bloods taken, hopefully if this is the cause of her tiredness then you might catch it before it becomes permanant. hopefully she is grateful to you for being considerate aswell!x

To say this is normal is nonsense, not every woman who is pregnant lazes around complaining that they are tired. You have to just keep yourself motivated and active. When I was pregnant at the age of 34 I worked until I was 39 weeks gone, walking for probably 4/5 hours climbing up and down stairs. Admittedly it was harder towards the end than it was in the first 6 months. Some woman just see pregnancy has an illness and an excuse to do nothing.

i have 2 kids, 1 is 2 and the other is 8months. while i was pregnant with my second baby i was really tired but i could still get out of bed in the mornings, i'd just grab a quick nap in the afternoons. if she's so tired that she cant get out of bed in the mornings book her an appointment with her midwife, as being that tired isn't normal, she may have a thyroid problem brought on by the pregnancy or even pregnancy diabeties. it's probably nothing 2 worry about but it's best 2 get checked over.
good luck and congratulations on the new baby.

I was the same till I went to the chiropractor.
It's great, I went once a week right up to the birth. I was full of energy, had no more back pains and stop getting ill (I had 3 colds, and gastro flu twice, while I was pregnant). Also I worked till the day before my due date.
I go once a month, and so does my baby and partner.

Yes it's normal.
A lot of women feel exhausted for a few months while pregnant (I'm one of those women). It's quite frustrating too because you want to get up and do things but feel too drained to.
Just bare with her and help out as much as you can. She needs lots of sleep right now and it won't last for the entire pregnancy, she'll get a sudden burst of energy at around 6-7 months.
Good Luck.

It is normal to be tired during pregnancy. Just make sure she is taking her prenatal vitamin and getting enough iron. Make sure she is drinking atleast 8 glasses of water and eating healthy too. If she is doing all that it is just because she is pregnant. Let her sleep while she can =)

what everyone else said..vitamins rest etc...make sure doc. knows she is fatigued alot so they can make sure she doesn't have something serious
also try pampering her.... A hot bath, a backrub, and a good meal with no strings attached can do wonders for her well being.
