I like sedu. I got mine for around $100.
Check out www.folica.com they have several including Sedu and GHD, all with a bunch of reviews. What ever you do, get one with ceramic plates! I've used Chi, Sedu, Hai, Solia and I prefer my sedu because of the prive and its "product". The Hai that I had broke within a year which I later found out is a common thing. From my logic, GHD has ceramic plates just like the Sedu and heats up to the same temperature as my Sedu but its twice as much, so i'm good with what i have.
But definitely check out www.folica.com because they have the most user reviews i have found.

The Maxi-glide is pretty good. It has interchangeable parts, that are good for doing the whole thing, and quick touch- ups. It heats up in about 2 minutes, I love it. It also comes with a smaller hair straightener, with no power settings, but it's good to style the ends of your hair (for flipping it in or out) and it does bangs really good! Mine also came with straightening serum, which works SO GOOD and this stuff you put in after you shampoo , but I only use it on special occasions.

hey! the ghd are indeed awesome but unfortunately are too expensive for the likes of me! on the recommendation of my friend i checked out some on the net called ghs (a cheapo copy i presume!) -they only cost £30 and come v quick when u order them, and are really good. my hair is thick and knotty and curly and they do the trick in no time at all! but if u have some extra money in your pocket id definately recommend the ghd-they are unbeatable - most hairdressers use them! if u search online there are sometimes special deals on them.
hope that helps!

GHD = Good hair day, and when I use these on my curly long hair they work all the time!! Although try not to use them daily as they dry your hair and the ends too.
Although they are around £90 they are a must for every chick!

GHD´s are the best
Make sure you get the bigger ones, for thick hair! There excellent! About 100 pounds but worth it! PLus they have an interchangable plug so you can use them abroad as well!
Just take out the wee screw in the plug

Mine is from Sally's. It's called Jilbere and I really like it. Just make sure to buy the spray to protect your hair. The BEST straightener is called Farouk Chi. They're very expensive but oh so worth it. Instead of just straighening, it makes your hair look and feel like silk!

Have Ionic straightening treatment done on your hair - you will never need another set of straighteners - it is fab!!! You will be able to wash your hair and leave it to dry naturally and it will look great!! Believe me I have had it done.

it all depends on what you are willing to pay, ghd ones are very good, they get very hot, but make sure you always use a heat protector on your hair before you use the straighteners.
