Oh, by the way, I need to say that I haven't committed any kind of severe offense toward someone. :-)

I have changed my ex-nickame "Khaeos" into "Axel". Well, I really like my nickname "Khaeos", but I don't identify to it - lol. At least, "Axel" is a real first name (not my real one though).

You must forgive yourself, but not totally, so you don't make the same mistakes anymore.

If you have committed some kind of severe offense toward someone else; i.e., sexual abuse, murder, theft, etc; then the first step to forgiving yourself is to admit your offense to the proper authorities so you can start on that road to forgiving yourself.
If you really have not done such a severe offense, then remember that there is no one alive on this planet that doesn't have need of forgiving themselves! Take heart! You're not alone. We all have had times when we have wished we could have done something a better way or, said something nicer to someone at a critical time!
Then again, if your problem is too extreme, you could have a slight physiological disorder that you should check on with your doctor, okay? I hope you find some peace and serenity (prayer really does help). Take care. Psalms chapter 103 will soothe your soul.

You have to get over the guilt while not overlooking the importance of why you have the guilt.

It's a fine line to walk. We have guilt because it is a program built into us by God to let us know when we have done something wrong.
The influences of this world affect our guilt in many ways. Sometimes we become desensitized and sometimes we become too sensitive.

The best way to learn how to forgive yourself is to find the perfect balance between conviction and a hard heart.

Studying God's Word helps you understand where your mind should be during these times.

One is only able to forgive ones self if one has a concept of forgiveness.

That may sound like babble speak, but the truth is that without an understanding of the need for forgiveness one is unable to forgive any one, much less them self.

I do not know how feel about the mercy of God, but I believe that you can forgive yourself because God has forgiven you.

It is apparent, by your question, that you are are questioning the goodness of God and do not accept that if God can forgive you then you can forgive yourself.

Think of this.

Unless you can forgive yourself you cannot accept forgiveness and neither can you offer forgiveness.

you can forgive yourself once you learn there is nothing to forgive
and see each " mistake " as a lesson
as long as you learn from the lesson and know if given the same situation again , the same " mistake wouldnt be made
then nothing is ever bad , or a mistake , or wasted
life is too short to burden ourself with guilt over what we have done .. none of us are perfect ... but learning from those mistakes is a great way to head towards perfection

I think it means that you "don't beat yourself up" about a mistake, error of judgement or failure.

You give yourself permission to move on and be happy.

For example, if someone was driving a car, which subsequently met with an accident, and a passenger who was in the car was hurt, then the driver of the car should "forgive" himself and not hold himself accountable if he was not negligent.

it is only GOD who forgive ever one, you have no right to forgive youself, now some one need to re consider himself by avioding any evil and do some good things for human kind that could be a reason that Allah (God) may forgive him. i believe the movement you change you attitude and start realizing that your action was wrong the God forgive you but feel the change in you heart and soul not just for a while

When you accept the fact that it's the nature of humans to make errors....
When you realize that learning is a trial-and-error process....
When you can make sure that you won't commit the same mistake again....
Laugh at yourself. Then,...
forgive and forget.

It is really ok not to be perfect. So we make mistakes. Who hasn't?
Everybody in this world have something in common. We want happiness and do not wish to suffer. Whenever we do something we think it will lead us to happiness. Then we realize it doesn't and start blaming ourselves.
I think we should learn the lesson and then move on to do something more constructive to make up for the mistake ya?

KHAEOS,Do your regret the act? do you have a contrite heart?can you make amends without causing more harm? Confess the "SIN" to a confidant, write a little about the "SIN" taking the emotion from your GUT to the paper then as you burn the paper pray to God ,remove this defect of character from me forever. LET IT GO.
