there is no Christian dress code-if u dress unusual princess its all good-yet if we dress sensuously we send out a message that attracts the wrong kind of people-so pray and just do it-dont worry what others say-yet you will attract the people u look like-so this is something to consider-david in His amazing grace and come and put a log on ur blog its important-thank you

hudson was a missionary to the chinese-for years never saw a soul saved-to tell England of-then Taylor took the garb of the chinese and grow a pony tail-saw thousands saved-yet lost all his finincial support in england for it. count the cost and do it for Jesus

these all are cultural dresses and are totally different in differnt regins. there islam is new version of christinity therfore it is not differnt. the difference is created by the people i mean the christian deviated from their religion and therfore they find islam a quite differrnt religion and same way the muslims are deviationg from islam by creating following sects.

the religious dress is the one where you can hide your body, from eyes of man and women, from unwanted season. the early dresses in UK are not religious but are cultural. when people devited from the religion they made an excuse that it is enough to perform religious duties once a week and wear decent dresses on occasions or in marrages only but know the ..........that beviation has worsen people dont dress nice in marriages and religious functions even the churches are allowing marriage of gays and lesbine.......they may make a union but they cant make a marriage. marriages is poor religious activity to made a commitment b/w two persons to organize a home and produce children and do work for the benefit of the family

i dont know what you want to be ......... just decoring a dress doesnt meant you are now religious. religions develops in minds and souls not in dresses and performances

Unfortunately, there are many in the church that think they can judge someone else's relationship with God by their appearance. Although for the purposes of causing undue "temptation" to others, we must be aware of what we wear, I don't believe there is some sort of guideline. There is a level of conservatism in dress, semi-difficult with today's styles, that is prudent, but not necessary.
I wish you luck in finding somewhere where you feel loved and accepted!!
PS I like the question about "what does a 'normal' Christian look like!!

Ugh. A friend of mine worked for a while at a Christian company. A co-worker who tended to wear black and had piercings quit, and the boss was later heard to say that he was glad the guy was gone--he looked like one of those (and this is a direct quote) "Satanist Christian rock music people".

Completely ridiculous.

I recently asked a question about Pagan stereotyping, and got some very good answers,

you should look up that question.

as far as i am concerned, when i think of a christian woman/girl.

i think of just about anyone that i might meet on the street,
however i would expect them to dress a tad bit more modestly than some of the people that i see,

Hi! I looked at your 360 page as well and you look like a child of God to me! Jesus died so that people no longer had to adhere to super strict mostly impossible standards to enter the kingdom of heaven. God takes us as we are, all that Sunday school best stuff went out the window years ago. What God wants from us is to accept his son, Jesus, who if you think about it, probably wouldn't have passed muster as a "normal" Christian (Jew) either!

Your dressing can tell much about the person you are....that's the way humans are,we tend to judge by what we see while God judge's from the heart.
No matter what people say, what you wear mainly describes you and it's a way of expressing yourself. In 1Timothy 2:9 explains what a christian should look like....and modesty and decency is emphasized.
so if what you wear is modest and decent ....then you have no reason to doubt yourself.

I don't think there is a dress code (lol- love the way you worded that!). my pastor used to have green hair and all sorts of earings. as long as you love jesus and have him in your heart, you can worship wearing whatever you want! don't let other people judge you! be proud and hold your head up high.

If you're christian like you say you are, than no doubt you would want to get god's view on the matter. 1 Timothy 2:9 "likewise i desire the women (and men for that matter) to adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty, and soundness of mind. In a way that befits women and men professing to reverence god, namely through good works."

basically, if you're a christian, you should look like one. If someone who doesn't know you looks at you and can't tell that you profess to know god, i think you better take paul's counsel a bit more serious.

I looked at your 360 blog page....you look 'normal' to me.....what is important is what is on the inside...Jesus! As long as you know in your heart with whom your salvation and eternal life exists, you are fine. Your outward appearance gives you more opportunity to minister to those who 'normal' Christians wouldn't be able to reach. Go out and minister to the world as commanded. We are called by Christ to be witnesses to Him, not judge and jury of others.....
