You would have removed the font which u have used in the file from your fonts folder. Select the whole text and choose an existing font from the font list. If the squares doesn't change then u would have saved some other kind of file as .doc file which MS word is not able to recognize.

I was going to suggest using Text Recovery Converter, but since you already have, and that didn't work (completely), then I hate to say it, but it sounds like the document is gone, beyond recovery.

Try downloading OpenOffice.org and opening it in that. It is almost identical to Microsoft Office but it's open source, and typically will be able to brute force things a little better. Good luck!

if u think its corrupted then u shud run scandisk to recover
but i think the coding has changed
try it to open in iso mode (it might be opening in unicode mode)
