It's kinda rude cause they didn't take the time to answer your question when you took the time to think about it and wanted a decent or at least thought out answer.
When they do that report em for point gaming. Since they admitted it it's easier for em to get in trouble. :)

It's basically what people do when they think your question is stupid, but since they read it, they'll answer something for the points. Their mistake is in admitting that that's what they're doing. "playing for points" is against the rules, and you can report someone for doing it. I had a friend get banned for a day for this. It's not much but it's something.
