I was in Kmart when I realized my baby was in school for the first day.I had turned around looking for her when it hit me,my mother had to pick me up out of the floor I was crying so hard I nearly passed out .I also cried each time my three oldest ones started school On the first day .
It gets better,so look forward to all the new experiences you two are going to share .You can also do volunteer work with the school ,or become a room mother if the school asks for help from parents. In some schools you can even go have lunch with her during the holidays so long as it does not interfere with her adjusting to fitting in with everything she is having to cope with in school. So by a means check with the school about there policies on parental involvement .Just remember she will always be your little girl, nothing ever changes that .
The world would be a much better place if more parents cared for their children.

May God bless You and Your Daughter thur out you lives.

This is very normal ... and its amazing to see how fast they do grow up. I can relate and I remember having anxiety when Jared first went and not wanting to leave the classroom.

Tomorrow will be a little bit easier.

No it's normal cause your used to being with her all the time and protecting her. So letting her go to school is a bit of a change cause you're filled with all sorts of worries like is she gonna be okay etc. It's normall for a mother to feel like this so don't worrie relax and see this as time for yourself where u can relax a bit and you'll see everything will work out fine.

Yes it's perfectly normal. I was the same with my little boy and now he's in secondary school. It will get better as the days go by. Just think what a marvelllous adventure it is for your little girl.
Good luck

It's very normal. I had tears in my eyes everyday for the first 2 months that each of my children started school. I missed them all day, no to mention the fact that I knew they were growing up and I knew they weren't my little babies anymore. Of course there was also the fear that everyday they were getting older and that meant they would someday soon give me as much hell as I gave my mother... LOL

Yes it normal, your little girl is growing up before your eyes it's like losing a leg for half the day, but she'll really enjoy it and have a lot of tales to tell you when she arrives home for her big girl school now, and just let her no how happy and proud of her u are.

I used to be a teaching assistant and I used to sometimes find it difficult to keep the tears back when parents said goodbye to their kids for the first time. I've none of my own but can imagine how hard it could be. Don't be hard on yourself, keep busy and go collect her with a big smile on your face and ready to here all her stories. If she has a bad day today, don't worry, be positive for her and she'll be enjoying herself real soon. Even if she is tearful saying goodbye to you, chances are she was absolutely fine 30secs after you walked out the door!

It's a normal reaction ... especially if she's your only child and you've spent the last 4 years or so together.

Maybe you should have another kid to give you something to take your mind off your daughter being at school ... but that might be a bit drastic!!

You're not being silly! She's growing up and becoming more independent and you always see parents crying when their kids go to school for the first time on TV and films. So don't worry, you'll get used to it! xx
