Why wouldn't he? Does he have true feelings for this person? Can he truly accept that it does come with a daughter, a child that has to be placed on top of the priorities.
Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brillant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

I guess he could if he had to. You can do anything if you have to. It's better in some ways to start when children are small they can grow up with you. They feel more like your own. My daddy was 54 when I was born. He died when I was 29. As long as you don't have several other small children both of you should be fine. Make sure you ask yourself these questions? Do you and the child's mother have enough in common (are you compatable with the mother)? Are you prepared to end up paying child support in your latter years if it don't work out? Is the child's real daddy still living? My daddy was a nervous type person. He didn't have a lot of patience with children. Although he was sick a lot he was a very good daddy.

Sorry I think you need to really look at this one closely. A mothers love for their child is the strongest bond there is and if you do not mind being second place in her life then it would be ok. If you are the type that needs to be the most important thing to her all of the time, then you probably are out of luck. As the daughter gets older, she will resent you from taking mommy's time and attention away from her getting the attention and then she will resent you for it. Been there done that. No it did not work. Sorry but true.

Of course. Could be hard for him to be a father at the age of 65 with a 13 year old child though.

A real man will love you with all his heart and soul if he really loves you he will also accept the young children of the woman he loves. However, pedophiles would jump at this opportunity so look out for that.

yes, especially if he is a loving man and happens to be the type that love children it will be fun to be with kids some times you no afterall the first thing was the love he has for the woman and that same love should flow to the dauther except if there is a personal reason for not wanting the daughter.i say take them both.

Why not, if her really loves her and they want to be together, he may find the three year old tyring at time but look at the wealth of life experience he can give to her, also people tend to have a little more patience at this age.
