NO!

But the hotel keepers are obliged to report all the names to the police..
.. and since it is illegal to provide 'places' for prostitution, the hotel keepers might reject couples whom they suspect for prostitutiton purposes - for the fear that they might be charged as alleged to prostitution.

For the foreigners .. No problem at all..

But if you are having a Russian or Ukranian girl in your company -although you are not having the same nationality with her- and try to book a room only for one night; the hotel keeper would think you come to their hotel for prostitution purposes and has the right to reject your entry.

There are no offical rules, but as the hotel is required to provide all guests names to the police there are sometimes a few problems that could be encountered. (This is because there is a lot of prostitution) If however you are both foreign nationals then there should be no problem anywhere. My Turkish fiancee and I did have a problem once at a hotel in Istabul but with a short discussion with the mangement it was quickly resolved and when I questioned the manager he indicated that had we made reservation instead of just dropping in, then there would have been no problems.

Absolutely not. You canbook it in advance also. There are a lot of companies with presence on the internet. Of course hotel.com is a good site but for Turkey i found www.tourkey.org to be very helpful.

Hello dear!
I suppose you are traveling to Turkey, thus you do not know the rules!
Well, since you are foreigners, they only know you are not a "legitimate" couple if you tell them so, why would you?
Also, dark ages are gone from Europe and surrounding countries!
Enjoy your stay!

Before my husband and I were married (he is Turkish and I am American) we never had a problem. We stayed in lots of hotels all over while we were on holidays together.
