I KNOW I SHOULD GO SEE A DOC but I want to get some perspective on the situation....

I have clammy hands and before that started I have had really dry palms with the skin peeling off. This has been going on for about a week.

In the last two days I have also had really bad smelling urine.

Apart from these two things I feel ok. Want to know the possibile diagnosis.

i'm no doctor or anything, but are you going through a stressful time? maybe that's the answer for your clammy hands. skin can peel from dryness, fungus.. nothing really bad

about the smelly urine, it can have plenty of explanations, from antibiotics, pills to food and alcohol, tobacco.

i repeat. i'm no doctor.

sounds like a couple of things. First of all, sometimes people's skin peels with the changing of the seasons. Could be that you have recently washed your hands with or gotten into something that you are allergic to. And for the strong urine, you should probably try drinking more water (at least 8 8oz glasses a day) if you don't, you could find yourself with a urinary tract infection and those are not pleasant.

Sometimes the clammy hands and peeling is from stress. They might even itch. I would take an antihistamine if I have itch with it. As for the urine, up your water intake as much as you can. You may also have a bladder infection. But see the doc and do it soon.

My dear, this is a problem of metabolism.

Dry, wet, alternating wet and dry palms suggest diabetes.

Bad smelling urine could just be a lack of enough water; but it also suggests diabetes.

You really do need to see a doctor and I will trust that you will get a better diagnosis that I have been able to provide.

Are you thirsty?

Have you started any new medications or treatments in the last week or two? Antibiotics? Birthcontrol? Weight loss stuff? New exotic foods?

Sometimes we react to new stuff in strange ways.

Yeast and diabetes (or other blood sugar imbalances) can travel together, making each worse.

Doctors have tests for diabetes, but yeast is harder to test for.

For basic information on hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), check out www.hufa.org. For basic information on hyperinsulinemia - the precursor for low and high blood sugar, check out www.mayoclinic.com and search for hyperinsulinemia.

For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.
