Did you know that Islam considers Jews AND Christians to be people of the Book? Muslim men (not women) are allowed under certain circumstances, to marry Jewish and Christian men and women, for they all three sahre the same principle belief that Allah, or God, is One.
The similarities in rituals, beliefs and values in the three are remarkably close to augment the following argument:
Jews were the first to recieve the Revelation, and Muslims believe that over the years the word of God was changed.
Ditto for Christians who also received the word of Allah but over thousands of years the words of Prophet Isah (Jesus) was changed.
When Prophet Mumhammad (PBUH), the last prophet came to deliver God's message, the only 'miracle' he performed was the recitation of the Holy Quran, its verse style is said to be unknown to mankind and therefore unbreakable. Kind of an ancient code that has not changed, a single comma, in all these years.
Thats why Muslims accept Jewish and Christian Prophets as their own as well, Prophets Musa (Moses) and Isah (Jesus) being the most prominent of the two faiths.
Muslims do not believe that Jesus died on the Cross. In Islam, it is unthinkable that Allah would allow His messenger to die such a death. In stead, Muslims believe that Isah's (Jesus) soul was taken up by Allah and in an instant the traitor Judas, who betrayed Isah to the crucifiers, took on his face and shape. Therefore the person who was captured, was not Jesus at all.
And as he did not die but as his soul was taken, muslims too believe he will come back, same as Christians, what is called the 'Resurrection'. As all creatures who are born in this earth must die, so when Isah (PBUH) comes to earth Muslims believe it has a threefold purpose: to announce Doomsday, to take up the souls of believers and to complete the end of his own natural life cycle which could not be completed with his death.
Some other interesting facts:
Islam was the first religion in the world to allow women to obtain a divorce from their husbands.
The Holy Quran, revealed in the 14th Century, gives a close and detailed summary of the changes from a foetus to a baby inside the mothers' womb.
The similarity between verses in the Holy Quran and findings in the latest scientific journals is well-known by now.
There is so much more... Hope you found this intersting and helpful in your search.

The Holy Quran
It is the most complex yet informative of all holy books. The information is relevant to real time situations, contains facts on history, science, mathematics etc. and encourages analytical thinking. A huge number of known scholars like Ibnu Sina are muslims and administers their lives based on the teachings of the Holy Quran.
This is in fact the best thing about Islam (to me). You can refer to the link below for a reliable english translation of the Holy Quran.
Don't forget to click on the English link on your top right hand site of the page. Just in case it opens the Malay pages instead.
Thanks for asking.

did you know the Prophet Suliman (pbuh) spoke the languages (communicated) of ALL insects, birds and animals?
did you know that Muslims believe in the Big Bang theory?
the house of God AKA the holy Kaaba was originally built by prophet Abraham and his son prophet Ishmael as a shelter and eventually collapsed with time,
later in Prophet Muhammed's time God ordered him to rebuild it so they did and ever since it has become a holy place for Muslims.
and by the way, there's no meteors that fell from space! that's just another lie people made up for some reason. the Holy Kaaba is made of nothing but rocks regular earthly rocks!!

One day he will demolish his present creatures and will began to make new creature . Presently mankind is the most intellegent among all of his creatures . Muhammad
Born to ‘Abdu’llah ibn ‘Abdu’l-Muttalib, Muhammad initially adopted the occupation of a merchant. He was renowned amongst all tribes as being "sadaq" and "ameen", meaning honest and truthful, respectively. He often retreated to a cave on a mountain outside Mecca called Hira for contemplation. Muslims believe that in the year 610, when Muhammad was about forty, he was visited in the cave by the Angel Gabriel who commanded him to recite verses sent by God. These first verses started, "READ, in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created man out of a germ-cell" and continued through the end of Prophet's life. These verse, the Qur'an, were revealed to Muhammad over a period of about twenty-three years, until his death.
He expanded his mission as a prophet, publicly preaching strict monotheism and warning of a Day of Judgment when all humans shall be held responsible for their deeds. He did not reject Judaism and Christianity, two other monotheistic faiths known to the Arabs, but said that he had been sent by God in order to complete and perfect those teachings.
Many in Mecca resented his preaching and persecuted him and his followers. Eventually, in 622, he was forced to move out of Mecca in a journey known to Muslims as the Hijra (the Migration). He settled in the area of Yathrib (now known as Medina) with his followers, where he was the leader of the first avowedly Muslim community.
The Meccans started attacking Medina to destroy the Islamic state. Even though the attacking armies were several times stronger in numbers and in weaponry, Muslims defeated these invaders every time they attacked. Muslims finally attacked Mecca under the leadership of Muhammad after eight years of Hijra and took control of the city. The Muslims subsequently removed all idols from the Kaaba. Most of the townspeople accepted Islam. Deputations began to come in from other Arabian tribes. The conditions for their adherence were: the acceptance of Islam, the destruction of idols, and the payment of the 'zakat' (tax) for the support of the poor community. In March 632, Muhammad led the pilgrimage, the Hajj. On returning to Medina he fell ill and died after a few days, on June 8.
Under the caliphs who assumed authority after his death, the Islamic empire expanded into Palestine, Syria, Mesopotamia, Persia, Egypt, North Africa, much of the Iberian Peninsula, and Anatolia. Later conquests, commercial contact between Muslims and non-Muslims, and missionary activity spread Islam over much of the Eastern Hemisphere, including China and Southeast Asia.
