No - actually just drinking 8 or more glasses a day can help and you burn more calories when you drink iced water cause your body works to make it a higher temp - iced not warm is better for burning more calories.

This is not correct.
The nonsense/pseudoscience phrases in the answers so far are:
"Drinking lots of water early in morning may help you in reducing weight.
If you drink water your digestive system will be cleaner.
Water is a very good diuretic & flushes the system.
Warm water in the morning will kick start your metabolism and also help with your bowel.
Water with a squeeze of lemon juice will kick-start your metabolism."
All the above phrases are wrong.
Your body is designed to automatically adjust the amount of water inside you - your level of hydration. When the amount needs topping up we will feel thirsty. A radical idea I know!
A great deal of the fashionable demand for always drinking water is mis-informed nonsense.
We need about 1.3 litres/ just less than three pints each day in a temperate climate to replace that lost in sweat, urine and when we exhale.
Our food could supply at least a quarter of this and together with teas, juices, etc. we might not need drink any extra.
You'll know if you've drunk too much because you will be urinating more frequently!

Exercise has many benefits but remember that it takes a 5 mile walk to use up the energy content of an average (300g) chocolate bar - losing weight by exercise is a slow process.
Most people are fat because they eat too much.

What dumb advise is that? No offense, but you don't lose weight if you drink WARM water. You will certainly be healthier if you drink water (preferably cold) because your digestive system will be cleaner and then you will be healthier.
My Advise on loosing weight is, drink a lot of water (what ever temperature you like), exercises at least 3 times a week and follow a healthy, balanced eating plan (NOT A DIET).
GOOD LUCK!

Firstly understand that your metabolism is different to anyone Else's.
Water is a very good diuretic & flushes the system, as much as 1-2 litres a day. I would check your own current body weight. Also cut down on dairy products, Carbohydrates late in the day or early evenings, Snacky & Sugery Stuff, don't help.

Warm water in the morning will kick start your metabolism and also help with your bowel. Cold water too early in the morning will cause your bowel to go into a "shock" state. It is more about cleansing and aiding in digestion rather than weightloss. It helps when you follow a healthy diet.

Sure! If you drink warm water and don't eat any food you are guaranteed to lose weight. Will make the job of carrying your coffin easier too.
Eat sensibly and exercise hard - it's the only sustainable way.

a mug of warm water with a squeeze of lemon juice will kickstart your metabolism in the morning for the rest of the day drink room temperature or cold water which lowers your body temperature so your body burns more calories to heat up the water so your system can process it.

Warm water can help you feel full and since it has zero calories, yes it can help you lose weight. Get some broth cubes (10-20 calories) and add it to your water for a low cal, but filling soup!
