Modern day women expect to be treated equally ... I mean, heaven forbid, we even backed down and gave them the vote - big mistake!

But why when it comes to spending their own money are they all so tight? I hate it when u meet some girls, and then when you go the bar, they hang off ur arm waiting for one ... sometimes I do, sometimes I don't ... it's the principle for me, lord knows with my income I can afford it, but who wants to be made a mug out of? They never get the first round in, they never get A round in.

APOLOGIES to some of you who do, but you're in a very very very small minority. Women are stingy!

To not me, answer below.... excuse me, but my shoes are probably worth more than your outfit, so a bum like me, who earns over a quarter of a million a year, doesn't really mind buying drinks, like I clearly said, it's the principle of the matter

I do get my rounds. Depending on the situation (there have been cases when I had to ask my boyfriend to pay - but those were arranged before we started ordering - and I return the favour next time we go out), I either pay my own share, or we alternate rounds.

Especially since I started working (I do, on the average, make more money than my now-ex; so I made a point of paying for the more expensive visits) - while I was still in college, I would be more likely to ask a boon; but still would try to make it up by a home party or something.

The fact is not that women are stingy, but that some women expect to be "spoiled" so that they may "grant" you something else later in the evening. As I consider the something else a shared treat, so should the other entertainment be shared - in fun and expense.

maybe whatever ladies you date are with you merely because you have soooo much money and feel that you'd be insulted if they offered to buy you a drink!
having said that, even though I always buy a round back, I think its just taken that a guy usuall buys the first round.
I find it kinda offensive the way you reflet to the voting aspect of things - you come across as kinda sexist - so in my opinion the women you do take out probably get the same impression and think sod it - ill let him pay for everything if thats his attitude.

In my experience, when first meeting a guy and dating him - he always insists on paying. To impress a girl and get into her good books, they think that a flash of the cash will do that. Some girls just think it will continue forever. Maybe you're just dating the wrong girls. My friend makes a mint, and he likes to date students. Then he complains that they are stingy and lazy! Get a grip!

I'm pretty stingy (I was at one workplace known as 'moths' because that's the only thing that comes out of my wallet) and I'm a girl, but I don't expect others to spend on me. I'm strictly 50/50. If a guy buys me dinner, it's on me next time. I pay my way. And actually, I find it much harder to spend money on myself than on other people. I get a round in when it's my turn, but I don't pay for the drinks all night.

I'm sorry but after being married to that last tight wad I would probably let the guy pay.
If I mention going out I will pay but if he mentions it then I expect him to pay. I will get the tip or help with the tip. I don't have to go out I'm a pretty low maintenance person. I don't like to blow money at expensive restaurants. I am a very understanding person. A walk in the park is fine with me. Take me to Mcdonald's if you have to have your food prepared. I would rather save my money and let him spend his last dollar trying to prove something.

First, the reason is that most girls - especially in bars and clubs make very little money. Second, they also want to guy that can take them out so if a guy can't they want to know right away. Third, they want to be treated like a girl - boys usually treat.

No seriously it does make sense...
When you go out, simply order one cup of tea and one of hot water. When nobody is looking, slip the secretly stashed teabag into the hot water and , hence, save some valuable money that would have otherwise been wasted on unnecessary costs.
Alternatively, save money on the whole date by simply dating homeless momen- because when its time to go home, you can drop them anywhere rather than spend valuable money on unnecessary taxi fares.

Got news for ya bro: it isn't the ladies. It's YOU...you're doing something to make them not want to spend money on you. Infact they may be hanging off your arm just to get a free drink out of you and blow you off..happens all the time to guys.

If you understand women, they will appreciate you and will not mind spending money on you. If they won't spend money on you, then they don't see you as valuable.

Read a few books, talk to women non-sexually, get to know them and save yourself a lot of money.
