A dog shouldn't have triple antibiotic where he can lick it..as it is toxic for dogs (and people).even a little would be dangerous for a tiny dog.... A little Vaseline would be safe, or aloe is the very best..Witch Hazel will help, or vinegar mixed with equal parts water, on a cotton ball, dabbed on it will ease the burn and itch away..Bactine is OK...Epsom salts dissolved in water and dabbed on with cotton is fine..
clipper burns can turn into nasty sores, so if it becomes running sores, get him to the vet quickly..

I just looked at one groomer's site which recommended the men's after shave cream..not the alcohol type..

Since I have experience, I'll tell you this...clean out your sink from dishes, residue, and rinse clean. fill your sink up with luke warm water, not too cold, deffinetly not too hot. don't put anything in it such as soaps, put your puppy's back end down in the water and just let your puppy sit in it for about 5 minutes. (remember to talk to your puppy, pet it, and stay close to it. Let your puppy rest against you while his/her bum is still in the water. Take your puppy out and dry with a towel. DON'T BLOW DRY with a hair dryer, this could startle your puppy and make him/her more anxious and scared along with being in pain!

Look in the phone book for any 24 hr Vets. Emergancy Vets!
Just stay close to your puppy. Don't put anything on the injured area until a Vet can help you further!

Try this and trust me, it should help your puppy!

yes, just keep an eye on it and keep putting the antibiotic ointment on it. He'll be ok in a couple days. Poor puppy.

neosporin would probably be okay for now and don't let him lick. The vet recommended I put neosporin on my cat when he had a puncture wound so it should probably be safe for your puppy

The best thing is neosporin...or if its an allergic rash then use benidryll cream.

Amolin cream or paw paw cream. Both available at chemists.
